Hello,

I will be traveling in a few months and will be out for about 5 days. I considered just skipping the research for those days but I think it’s too long of a span. I have always used normal syringes but I came across someone mentioning peptidecritic.com and saw they have disposable pens v1.2 and v2 for a reasonable price. I’d like to try the disposable before pulling the trigger on reusable pens.

Is it safer to travel with research stuff in a pen vs vials that may have labels on them and syringes or should I stay away from taking them with me on the plane?

Are the needle tips standard where if I buy a larger pack of tips I can use the same tips on a reusable pen later on?

Has anyone had any experience with the disposable ones from peptide critic mentioned above?

Thank you!

1) definitely more discrete, less medical waste.

2) micro tips all the same although, with the cost difference I always default to quality over cost

3) interested but I am not sure of the quality or the savings of a disposable

No experience with traveling, I have never tried the disposable either. The pen needles seem to be standard. I've tried several brands and all worked perfectly on my V1 and V2 pens.

I will say that after getting pens I get annoyed using a standard syringe...lol.

I only use the syringe for my once a week peps, everything else is in a pen.

Can't speak to the disposable pens and I find the "Uncle Wang" branded stuff in poor taste so I don't buy from that site. I buy V2 from PepPens and waste a cartridge to test accuracy every few med refills. It's always accurate.

TSA doesn't care about peptides. They are there for things that go boom. They see meds all day every day. You can bring syringes and vials with no issues. I do love my new Phomemo label maker though and I'll admit it makes my meds look much more legit to have a neat label on them. It doesn't have proprietary labels like Niimbot either.

I don't think there's a ton of cost savings in paying to throw something away. I really like my pens though. I throw the cap away. I like to see the needle clearly to aim better.

They use standard pen needles and there's a brand called PocketSharps that makes a nice little sharps container for travel. You can get a discreet black and green or go with biohazard red.

Definitely would recommend checking a few different sources. I think the reusables are similar price and worth it over disposable.

Q1, IMO would be easier to travel with, x pens, 5 * x pens in needles that are smaller than dice each. Looks like your Q2 was answered. Q3 I have peptidecritic’s v3.5, quality is okay but not even close to the Savvio I got nearly same price. Would highly recommend a name brand (Savvio) or auto-injector.

Is PepPens the most popular and reputable website? And is the website thepeppen.com ? If not would you mind sharing the link please?

This will be me after today. Just got my additional two V2 pens and supplies yesterday so I'll be preparing my KPV and TA1 with carts now and I'm so excited. That'll be those and my daily GHK-cu using super easy pens, and my once weekly tirz still with syringe as it's a one and done.

There's a bunch of different sources. That is the one that I use. I'm honestly not really sure how different the pens are as they all look the same but some of them are really off and others are more consistent. I do inject slow. The rubber stopper needs time to move IMO.

Good to know. How many times have you measured the accuracy?

I have two V2 pens, two HumaPen Savvios, and a gansulin. And a couple of disposable pens.

I really regret buying the disposables. I bought the disposable pens because I wasn't sure if I would like pens or trust dose accuracy. When I received my pens I tried them all for accruacy and I can't believe how accurate pens are at dosing. It's not like these are sophisticated machines. I almost want to take one a part to look at the guts. I tested using these instructions from Undergroud Supply using tap water.

So to confirm, the two V2 you tested also came back pretty much on point for accuracy? That's impressive as they're really affordable in general (compared to the Convis, Gansu and Savvios)

3 or 4 times between 2 of their pens. I checked again since Peptide critic saying similar pens had issues had me worried. I think I have an identical pen to what he sells though. They do all come from a small handful of factories.

V1s have a much better reputation for aaccuracy and are very affordable. I am happy lakelife found accurate V2s.

My V2s went straight in the trash. Over time, I 'graduated' to a mix of convi/gansulin, and Novopens.

Yes, I tested the two V2s and they worked perfectly for me. I was surprised at the dosing accuracy. Since I tested with tap water and a used cart and an insulin syringe, I did it a bunch of times, just for the heck of it. It wasn’t just one test. I’m pretty OCD and did these tests over a number of days. I read somewhere that the mechanism becomes smoother with more use.

I purchased the two Savvios from Canada and they were only $30 each plus shipping. I tested the Gansulin but haven’t pinned with it yet.

Cool, thanks. I may splurge for a Savvio one of these days, but I always have to play around with which vendor has what accessories that I need so I can build an order for free shipping (right now I'm on the hunt for carts since Injection Shop doesn't sell them and I'm getting other stuff from them today) so if I can get sterile carts and the pen at the same time, bonus!

Another manual pen option that I'm liking are the Nest pens; picked up 3 for $23 per. Comes with a nice little case and even normal QA stuff and a manual.

Have you checked the accuracy of them?
