Hey fellow Belgians,

would love to connect and hear your stories, advice and anything else you might want to contribute.

I'm currently "sprokkeling" supplies from various webshops so I can make my own BAC water, with it being incredibly difficult to obtain in these parts (at a decent price at least) and ordering my first grey batch of peps.

How's your journey so far? Any tips for newbies?

0,9% benzyl BAC is indeed hard to find around here. Every couple of kits I order, I add a kit of 10ml bac just to be sure. Until now my Chinese BAC worked just fine.

I'd be very careful with Chinese BAC. There have been a lot of failed sterility and PH tests on those (same as with Amazon BAC).

I'll be making my own bac (very carefully) to get around this issue. I've talked to some individuals who also do it and got some good tips.

Making your own BAC is very easy (I do it too). If you practice good sterile methods you'll be fine.

Got any tips for me? Just ordered all the supplies yesterday.

Not really... it' simple.

What I do is mix 1 liter of sterile water (Braun) with 1ml of Benz.Alc. Then I transfer that to 20ml vials (I make some for friends too).

I produce aprox 300ml BAC this way. The rest gets discarded. (The water is only ~€7)

I do use a laminar flow hood (I have access to a lab and like to cosplay as a mad scientist 😷) but that's not really necessary.

Is that the correct calculation? 0,9% equals about 10ml per liter right?

Can't hurt to be more precise but 1% is fine. This is how BAC water is described on the Pfizer web page:

"Bacteriostatic Water for Injection, USP is a sterile, nonpyrogenic preparation of water for injection containing 0.9% (9 mg/mL) or 1.1% (11 mg/mL) of benzyl alcohol added as a bacteriostatic preservative. It is supplied in a multiple-dose container from which repeated withdrawals may be made to dilute or dissolve drugs for injection. The pH is 5.7 (4.5 to 7.0)."

So it lands right in the middle and is easy to dose. I've talked to several others and they all seem to go with 1%

Sooooo a 50ml "flapul" of sterile water and 0,5ml of benzyl alcohol is going to cost me under €2. Add 5 sterile 10ml vials and a syringe and a swab and I'm good to go for about €10... without shipping 🥲

*I didn't include the benzyl alcohol in the calculation because 100ml will get me quite literally a bucket of BAC.

I'm never going to stress about BAC again. Thanks guys 🥰

I want to do this too, ultimately. I'm curious about how you keep things as sterile as possible once you remove the cap from the sterile water. Maybe I'm paranoid, but I feel like bacteria are landing in there from the moment you open it.

Use a clean surface to work on (preferably stainless steel) and wipe it with alcohol before using it.

Wash your hands/arms and wear gloves (also wipe/spray with some alcohol before you start touching things).

Wear a face mask to prevent breathing/couching on things.

Use only sterile syringes, needles etc. and open the package they're in at the last moment before using them.

You could also buy a desktop/tabletop laminar flowhood with hepa filter for ~€300-€500...

You don't remove the cap. Buy them in 50ml vials that come with a seal like the sterile vials. Inject your BA in there directly and store it like that. Voila a 50ml bottle of BAC water.

You can even get smaller glass bottles over in the States if you think 50ml is a bit too much, Google is your friend!

I use the Braun WFI. It does require to remove the cap before you reach the rubber stop </pedantic> 🤐

These bottles (100ml) cost only €2,36 at PharmaMarket

I give the excess to my friends, but for that price you can just throw it away without feeling bad.

Ah yes, the top cap needs to go off, I think the user was under the impression the aluminum cap and rubber seal had to go off as well, which is not the case 😛

Personally wouldn’t feel safe without a LAF-cabinet. For now i’ll stick to buying it for a higher price.

Another example of how great and forward thinking Belgian politicians are!

Vandenbroucke weigert terugbetaling afslankmedicijn Wegovy: "Zou andere noodzakelijke zorg verdringen" | VRT NWS Nieuws

Meanwhile in Greece Mounjaro is free for people with a BMI of 37, they get enrolled in an 8 month program, and even when they lose weight to below the 37 BMI you're in it for the whole ride.

Na Maggie zitten we al een paar jaar opgescheept met deze loser. Een pak Europese landen sturen hun obesitasbeleid bij, conform de WHO richtlijnen, onze Frank gaat dat niet doen... 🤬
