Bad batch or wrong BAC?

I accidentally got hospira green cap water - "30mL BA NaCl Diluent Solution is a sterile, nonpyrogenic preparation of water containing .9% (9mg/mL) Benzyl Alcohol as a bacteriostatic preservative and .9% (9mg/mL) of Sodium Chloride ( NaCl ) as an isotonic buffer in a Multi-Dose Vial (MDV)"

Can this be used to reconstitute reta? I just tried my first vial (15mg with black cap) and it's cloudy, though it seems this might be a known bad batch? Or is it the water?

It'll most likely be the water. It'll sting a bit if you pin it.

As you have seen the hard way, reta is prone to cloudy recon with saline BAC.

But you can use saline BAC for tirz, sema, and some other peptides.

With enough bad luck, It's possible you also have a bad batch of R15 with TFA salt issues. But more likely is the saline BAC as the issue, as it is well established to not use saline BAC for reta:

Starting off with, I am not a chemist. But it's been pointed out by others in the community that are deeply involved in research chemistry that Reta is not compatible with saline. This has been shown through experimentation as well.

It's not an issue with tirz or sema.

I have that same Reta and it did the same thing. I used hospira bac and mine was cloudy with little particles that would dissolve. I put 1 unit of sodium bicarbonate and it cleared it right up. But, with that being said I’m not injecting myself with it. So my advice is try regular bac and see if that makes a difference.

Yeah, it could be both issues, which would be quite unfortunate.

Personally, I am avoiding buying R10, R15, or R20 from any vendor. I just bought R30, and I don't think I will ever buy anything smaller than that. I did recently receive R10 from a no-name vendor and that reconned fine.

If you are dying of curiosity and don't have any regular BAC, maybe a local independent/compounding pharmacy may have some Hospira BAC for sale, if they bend the rules regarding a prescription? (I assume that would be unlikely, at least without a pre-existing relationship. And they would know you are using it for Chinese peptides, unless you have some excuse of adding BAC to your compounded tirz or Zepbound.)

Just reconned a 40mg vial of Reta with Hospira and it came out cloudy. It tested well with freedom in terms of purity - do you think this is a TFA Salt issue? I ran it through a filter and it came out clear. Part of me wants to pin it, the other part of me doesn't want a Total Recall 3rd boob.

Youre fine. Everyone insists on hospira only cuz last year a bunch of other brands (even American brands failed testing) i think like 7 outta 10.... a year later with the publicity you can bet they tightened it up. Your photo wasnt on the list anyway. Bac is hard to mess up... i had 1 issue in 9 years otherwise all good.

That BAC looks sketchy.

Here's a vid of one of my Amazon BAC purchases.

I already thought I saw some debris when I first got the vials so I got suspicious and didn't use any of it. Roughly 2 weeks later I saw these white strings floating in the water.

Needles to say that was the last BAC from Amazon (or any vendor other than Pfizer/Hospira)

So what do we use for water. We can’t use the BAC water Reta.

If it's cloudy with floaters chances are you have a bad batch of Reta. Saline bac w/ sodium chloride you cannot use, look above at the pics. The bac water you have looks just fine. Hospira is preferable but use what you have.

Thank you. I’m new obviously. Is getting the small viles of BAC from the sellers advisable. Is there a plus or minus to that. I didn’t even know the small sealed viles of BAC where a thing.

I have used it and still have two bottles from an Amazon 4-pack. It was one of 2-3 Amazon Bacs that passed testing (pH and Benzyl %).

Never failed me and it was under $5 per 31ml bottle.

Vial of R30 below reconned w/1.5ml of Lab 1 Research H2O.
