My most recent liver panel, I have to get bloodwork every 6 months for Hashimotos, found high protein @8.8, where 8.2 was the high end of normal and high Albumin @5, where 4.9 was the high end of normal. I've been on a maintenance dose of Reta/Sema, very small amount of sema, for about 4-5 months. But I've been using the GLP-1's for over a year. I never went over 4mg of Reta the whole time. I only take a little over 1mg now. I also use KLOW, NAD+ and Selank. (I've tried MT-1 like three times - 250mcg's. My legs got a slight tan for the first time in my life.)

Just wondering if any one else has seen labs like this? My doc called and said I need to come in for further testing on my liver. My kidneys have improved since starting the GLP-1's. I went from an EGFR of 52 to 80, but now it's also down to 71 - still much improved. I've lost about thirty lbs. I do drink protein shakes maybe twice a week - but the nurse didn't think that would have anything to do with it.

Any help would be appreciated. I'm going to cut back on the Klow, since I did google it, the copper, could have deleterious effects on the liver. I do take an extra zinc with the Klow. I take a bunch of vitamins also: D, C , E, Biotin, B12, Magnesium, One-a-Day Multi, Fish Oil, Acetyl L-Carnitine, Niacinamide, Selenium, and some others I can't think of. My hubby doles them out to me. He takes nearly a baby food jar of them a day - just like his 107yo mother did!

Wow, that's a lot of vitamins. Maybe cut out all of them and switch to just one high quality bariatric multivitamin? I also agree with cutting out the KLOW until you figure out what's going on with your liver.

What were your other liver numbers, like ALT, AST, etc? Do you take creatine?
I don't take Creatine. He didn't do a test for ALT or AST. My creatine was .9 - almost always is .9.

If you're creatinine is 0.9, then your eGFR should be closer to 90. So something doesn't seem right there.

High doses of selenium can be hepatoxic, niacinamide can elevate liver enzymes, You are already getting B3 from your multi, so is the niacinimide necessary? Selenium should also be in your multi, and we only need a small amount of it anyway. Tell your doctor about your extra supplements. Or go off of them and see if your panels change, maybe? Rapid weight loss can also spike your numbers, have you lost very quickly, more than 1-2 pounds a week?

Thanks for the info - I’ll stop the extra seIenium. I wanted the Niacinamide for all my arthritis and it’s good for your skin too. I haven’t been taking all these vitamins very long, maybe less than a year.

I would drop all the vitamins except a multi and also drop the glow. Too many vitamins can harm your liver. Look it up.

Obviously , see your doctor

The slightly high protein and albumin could simply be mild dehydration, glp drugs do reduce fluid intake

Many of the peptides you are taking have not been studied or even had safety assessments done in humans. Selank has had some russian studies done, KLOW, has 4 different peptides with major and complicated effects on many different genes, most of these effects are not well understood, and have only been tested in animals, so less common effects in humans are completely not known. I would be inclined to see this as more likely to cause unexpected blood test results than the vitamins and minerals . You might need to tell your doctor about these peptides if the test results persist and further investigations are needed. It would be easy enough to stop them for a while and repeat the tests to see if the results return to normal.

Oh boy - I’ll do just a multi and take an extended break from the Klow. Oh I never answered, but I lost very slowly - 1lb a week.
