Any Runners Here?

Plus one for NAD+. I think it really helps me workouts by giving me a boost on a cellular level giving me way more reps in the tank. Cleaner and more powerful than any caffeine based pre-workout.

Definitely following this 🙂 I am recovering from a hip injury but I want to get back into running. I think running can make one too lean if you are dieting strictly, which has happened to me before. Maybe not an issue for me now, because of the meds I'm on. Glad it seems your runs have mostly improved. 🙂

Also following this as intermittent runner training for half marathon (run 29th march) about to start my first reta but read a couple reviews saying they has awful lethargy and tiredness in general and not much enthusiasm to train. Ill be back in gym for a while then got a trail half marathon in sept.

Not looking to lose lots (few kilos) so concerned it would impact my training. Seems line this thread has had opposite experience with most improving after reta.

Everyone's different. I had to go off reta (2mg) because I could not ingest enough calories to fuel my runs. I noticed even the gels took longer to absorb.

I run every morning in order to spite my Dr. I was in really bad shape when I first met her and she said I couldn't reverse my Type 2 on my own, A1C to high.

So that day I started running every day, not very far at first, but longer and longer every morning.

When I started I was close to 300lbs, with diet and exercise I was able to lower my a1c and BP. I was stuck though and I couldn't get my weight down below 265, so I started the trizepatide. It made my recovery easier.

Recently I started on the SS-31, Mots-c, NAD+ protocol, after the 3rd day of Ss-31 I found an extra gear where I was able to go faster than I was before and didn't run out of breath.

.

I lost about 15 pounds on Tirz at the start of my training for my last half, but then stayed just steady during the peak months for some reason. I had 2 100 mile months in there but weight just seemed to lucite between 5-6 pounds. I never titrated past 5 mg though.

Running on reta (2mg) for me made it a lot harder to stay in zone 2 and I have not had any resting heart rate increases so it can't be that.
How much is it popping over compared RPE?

Reta gave me a universal +10 bpm which 5-10 is pretty common. Maybe yours just shows up during exercise? I have zero basis outside of wild guesses as to why it would show up that way.

Starting my first ever marathon training block this week and am a bit nervous. I’ve done a few half marathons, improving each time, but have not gone further than 13 in training and haven’t done much running (just a 10 miler) since starting Tirz. The Tirz has allowed me to lose 30 lbs I needed gone. As I head into this training block I’m wondering if there anything I could add to help with the bit of fatigue from Tirz or the recovery from running. Any advice or thoughts?
Hey bro!

I used to do a few 10K's a week, havent done it in some time now due to work and other things, but im going to get back into it again soon.

I was lifting weights post injury 4-5 x a week as well... that combo made me feel amazing.

I like to sprint 100 yards, lol.

A fun (or not-so-fun) question:

Does running on GLPs increase runner's diarrhea? If GLPs give you constipation (instead of diarrhea or no side effects), I guess they could actually help prevent runner's diarrhea.

It does make me feel tired a little faster. Before I was ok running 10ks finishing in zone 3 now I can't do 5 before hitting zone 3. Neither of which feels strenuous and I didn't really think about my RPE before so it's hard to really compare. I think realistically my heart rate probably increased and I didn't check thoroughly enough.

I make my own Gel and it has been easy to get in 150g of carbs in during training. I'm running Boston in 5 weeks. I'm on T and a low dose of RT mud week.

My gel in case you ask lol

200g maltodextrin

100g fructose

.5 tps pectin to make it thick

200g hot water

Whatever flavor you want to make it. It will keep in the fridge for 5 days and i put it in a 250ml soft flask. My last long run I only used 1 of them for 16 miles in stupid elevation no bonk.

Dang dude...thats awesome! Congrats on Boston! I've qualified but never fast enough to actually get in. I have a new plan and 3 races to try this season. I used RT to specifically target the visceral fat. I'll start back when there's time in between races.

I wasn't fast enough either lol they keep moving the goal post. Every year however, there are companies that will gift you a bib. I'm running with the iFit team. Luis Orta is our captain lol. Poland springs yes the water people gives out 10 bibs a year, follow them on IG. I know 5 people that got bibs with them.

Update, my VO2 max is up since two weeks after starting the Ss-31 currently 42 from a previous 40

doesn't running mess with y'all's metabolism ? as I've heard it can cause slow progress in losing weight if taken with reta
