30-31g 8mm (5/16") Luer Lock or Luer Slip Needles only

Needle only. Anyone see these around anywhere? I looked for about an hour this morning with no luck. I know Amazon has some, but I read it feels like a food injection tool. I'd prefer Easy Touch or BD/Embecca. Closest I've seen is 30g 1/2".

What are you trying to use a luer lock needle for? Not for injections I hope... For insulin like injections/glp1, one piece syringes are used. Short needles, and thin. For bulk transfers to fill a vial or when using a filter, a luer lock is common, using a luer lock syringe with a luer lock needle. Those needles are longer, to reach the bottom of a vial, and larger in diameter, for easier, faster transfer flow.

Thanks, I know that. I have BD and Easy Touch 31g 8mm for injections. I have 27g 1.5" for the 3ml luer lock for reconning, filtering and stuff.

Not all luer lock needles are too long or otherwise inappropriate for injection. The whole idea is you can use a longer, lower gauge needle for recon and filtering.

An insulin syringe is not the only tool.

You can get lure lock or lure slip in any size gauge and wall thickness. It is all I have ever used for decades. I like Lure lock because I never injected with the same needle I draw with. It’s only pennies extra per injection to have a fresh sharp needle that has not gone through a rubber stopper. What do you think hospitals use for injections!

I skipped that idea. The 31g are fine. I have no problem drawing and pinning. Wife and I didn't even feel the needle. I have 400 1ml and .05 syringes, 31g 8mm.

I picked up 200 Nipro 1ml luer slip syringes with 27g ½” needles. Drawing is much faster. For injection I swap to a 30g ½” Easy Touch, which is painless since the needle is fresh and your skin is the first thing it touches.

The downsides are more dead space and the needle switching adds a step. I’ve gone back to preferring a 31g Easy Touch insulin syringe.

I figured out how to make the insulin syringe injections painless. Before injecting, lightly press the needle against the skin. If it feels like it’s going to sting, move a 2-3 mm over. Usually one or two small adjustments finds a spot that’s completely painless. It works because the small adjustment avoids hitting a nerve/pain receptor.

Have you used these before? Wasn't sure how much brand mattered with needles or not, but I am not seeing a specific brand name mentioned on the product page. I just see Shaotong in the images. Looks like a brand I see a lot of on Amazon.

If they are decent, it would be nice to have these for TRT, as I have lots of 21-25g that I can use for drawing, then swap to a fresh 30g for the SubQ.

I have literally hundreds of barrels and needles suitable drawing. Easy Touch 29-30g needles are something like $8-9. It's not an accident I have zero 29-30g needles (although it's not a big deal to me if you want to swap needles every time).

I use 1/2" 29g .5ml insulin syringes, which I also have hundreds of. I went with 29g because the drawing time is decently quicker than 30g. I warm the test vial in a small container of warm water while I'm brushing my teeth/doing other injections/whatever.

I have a couple hundred 30g 5/16 insulin syringes that I bought for GLP use. The TRT clinic sent me a bunch of barrels along with a bunch of 21 and 25 1" needles to go with them. I figured I could use them for drawing, swap to a 29-30 for injection, so the clinic's supply wasn't going to waste.

I use them to recon peptides, although I also bought individually packed 3ml and 5ml syringes and needles as well. (The clinic supplied syringe/needle combos, individually wrapped).

29g offers 20-35% more cross sectional area/flow than a 30g... the marginally bigger radial increase is a squared function.
