how many vials of triz will one 13mm filter do? I plan on reconstituting several vials at once. Or is it best to use one filter per vial?

If you're filtering several vials into one, one filter should be fine. I use 1 filter to concentrate 2 reta vials into one sterile vial.

I should mention that you will want to keep in mind the estimated degradation of Tirz though. It supposedly degrades a bit between 60-115 days.

13mm filters should be good for up to 5mL of fluid, sometimes more depending on where you read.

if you are going through the effort of filtering your peptides I think it is worth the time to investigate doing it properly. I had not planned on filtering until I read details about the value add on the STG telegraph site.

most kits come in 3ml vials and I've been adding between 2 to 3 ml BAC per vial. 13 mm filters are the correct size to properly filter that amount of material. so I'm using one filter per vial.

No one asked but, I prefer the 13mm. They flow so much easier
When the flow becomes too easy, it means the filter has broken. It happens when there's too much pressure.

Can you do different peptides through same filter?
I would generally say no, but if you're making a blend in a single vial, you're probably fine using the same filter up to 5-6mL of fluid passing through.

If you're doing individual peptides, you'll want to use a fresh filter so you don't co-mingle.

Ok. I’ve tried finding information on filtering. What is it and how do you do it. Are there any videos on it? Inquiring Newbs want to know.

peptidecritic.com has some informative videos, including several on filtering

yep, and my brother is Mycroft; he's the smartest one of the two, and he never leaves his house.
You know the Mycroft reference will be lost on the younger folk, right? 🤣😂

You can buy Biologix 100 count 13mm filter direct from them, all individually wrapped for a little over $50 and free shipping.

So filtering is just adding your BAC. I thought that was called reconstituting. I thought you were using some kind of type medical coffee filter to filter out impurities. I guess this is why I’m still an apprentice. Lol.

They have the TV series. Benedict Cumberbatch / Mark Gatiss as Mycroft. It's reading a book that's become something for old people ;-)

No, you draw out the reconed stuff with a long needle, take the needle off, then spin on a filter and push that through the filter into a new vial with a new needle.
