Stomach would probably be a better option,

Stomach injections (such as weight-loss or insulin medications) generally hurt less because the abdomen features a thicker layer of subcutaneous fat and fewer nerve endings than other areas like the thigh. Additionally, stomach tissue moves less, minimizing friction as the needle enters
I have mixed feelings on this! I feel like the injection hurt less when I tried my stomach, but the site was more sore. Where the glute hurts a tad more but there is no lingering pain. I can see the point of less friction, it’s a lot easier reaching the front of me

Pain when first inserting the needle is usually from alcohol from the wipe that has not dried yet. Assuming you are using pretty small gauge needles like 29 to 31 which do not usually hurt much.

I agree stomach is usually easier and less painful, otherwise just chill out for a few minutes before getting up after an injection, and be extra careful in the few minutes after you do start moving.

Belly all day. What size syringes are you using?

I vote for dull needle. Either by the vial stopper or straight out of the pack. I've pierced the"leg" of the stopper before and used the same needle to inject. Just one time... That was plenty. Super hard to pierce the skin. Hurt quite a bit and guy a little bruise.

Smaller gauge needles definitely dull more just with regular use too in my experience. 31s actually hurt more than 29s with some of the harder stopper 3ml vials I've used. The 29 seem to hold their point just a little better.

I also vote for belly. Just easier to use two hands for me. Gently pinch the skin so you're not getting into the muscle.

I also 100% feel your pain in the vasovagal response. I used to get the exact same thing from blood draws. Actually had it a few times after Novocaine at the dentist. That first self injection for me was super tough to do.
