Normally I'm with you 100% when it comes to the whole units thing, but to be fair he did mention the specific dilution ratio in another thread.

But yeah, any time anyone refers to their dosage in units instead of mg/mL I want to reach through the screen and shake some sense into them.

Thank you so much. Sounds like to me it may be something to do with the dilution and the amount being injected. I’ll check out the link you posted for bac water and in my new vial I’ll try a new amount… ofcourse as always I’ll read and research before mixing and injecting my next vial . What is your opinion on the needles to use ?

It's fine, but jeez they really went out of their way to make something relatively simple seem unnecessarily convoluted.

It's also a good indicator that the owner of that shop isn't very bright. The history of the FDA going after peptide vendors is rife with examples of them targeting the low-hanging fruit of vendors openly discussing human use despite slapping the 'ol "research use only, not for human use" labels all over the place.

Agree, when starting this journey I literally needed things spoon feeded. Thanks to this and other forums I have been able to learn little by little.

I’m no help there- I just used the insulin needles I had left from my diabetic cat. Then switched to a pen, so I’m even less help. Theoretically the finer the gauge the less pain, but other things come into play, like drawing up the dose then injecting- that rubber stopper can dull a needle quickly.

Higher concentrations have been shown pretty conclusively to increase the risk of side effects in a variety of other injections, so it's a possibility here.

是的，如果你没有完全对准中心，有些塞子会感觉比较硬。有空的时候，可以取下一个塞子仔细观察一下。或者旋转药瓶，看看塞子上的开口！你必须对准那个开口。它们的设计各不相同。

Thanks! I tested some bac water today and no reaction. My guess it has to do with the tirzepatide. Going to try injecting in my thigh next week with a little more bac water . Thinking 100 units for 45 mg is too much for me . Going to try 300 units of bac

I've never had any real ISR's (injection site reactions). About the worst I've ever had was a little PIP (post-injection pain) and on a handful of occasions a little temporary itching.

Anything other than Hospira BAC (or some of the more reliable Chinese), including the mystery bathtub waters - especially from the Amazonian Empire - is always a risk IMHO, but if you used the name-brand stuff I would easily rule that out.

The high concentration may have played a part, or it could be something as simple as your body over-reacting to the needle puncture itself or a number of other little things. Compared to others I've seen it looks pretty mild so as long as it clears up I wouldn't worry about it too much.

One of the things I learned early on in this adventure was to invest in some 3ml syringes and needles (25 gauge) to use for reconstitution. It makes the process easier and faster since a larger bore needle moves a lot more fluid a lot faster than a 30 or 31 gauge insulin syringe, and it makes using more than 1ml of fluid to reconstitute a one-step process and probably a bit more accurate.

So this could be it as well… I been using a tanning bed before vacation next month. I bet the uv light is making the injections on my stomach react due to slightly burning etc. tried the bac water in my thigh no reaction today. Going to wait for the reaction to clear and then try future injections in thigh for bit .

I've been using the Easy Touch 30g 5/16". The 31 gauge is so fine, I've bent the needle a couple of times. As @AndyPanda mentioned, I'm thinking of using 1/2" for the things that sting. But glp-1 doesn't sting for me.

also think it could be reacting from using a tanning bed… may be making my skin sensitive esp where I inject,.. may try thigh when this all clears up…

Sorry, was not about the paper calculation, but how do you draw exactly 6.25u on a syringe?

I use similar (thinner) Easy Touch 31G 1cc(1ml) 5/8", and would be hard press to see the difference between 6 or 7u unless I use a magnifying glass. And if I am off, would mean a 15% difference in dosage. One suggestion if you want to stay within that dosage range is to use 0.3cc syringes.

Yes, some stoppers feel harder if you are not 100% in the center. When you have a moment, take a stopper out and study it. Or rotate the vial, and see the open slot in the stopper! You got to hit within that gap. They vary in design.

As FlowerFairy said, if you use it thru 2-3 stoppers before pinning, you will feel the 'dullness' which can cause a small isr. Pulling more bac into the syringe, to dilute more, can further dull the bevel. I do not pin in the belly, where the 'baby' skin is. I use the love handles, where the skin is more leather like and thicker fat.

Adding 3ml of bac to the 2ml vial, will make it harder to draw the first dose out because the air gap is very small. Creates a vacuum. Need to pull air in the syringe, inject it in the vial, before you draw, to create small pressure.

In addition to this great advice, pick up some 1.5" luer lock needles while you're shopping for the other stuff. The 1.5" needles will reach to the bottom of a standard 3ml vial so you don't have to play the upside-down-did-I-get-it-all game. These are especially helpful if you combine vials and/or fill pen cartridges. Just like Gonk does. He loves his pens.

I have had this reaction every single time since I started tirz last year. Have used 3 different suppliers and use either sterile water or bac water from medical supply. My friend is on name brand thru her doctor and also has the same reaction every time. According to her doc, some people just have an allergic or immune system reaction to the drugs and nothing you can do to avoid it. The only thing that I have found that helps for the itching is a cold compress. It usually heals within a few days.
