Just for my own reference... Week 1 I took .5mg and by Saturday felt it wearing down. Week 2 also .5 and by Friday it was wearing off. This third week I stayed with .5 and by Friday again the appetite returned. I weighed in this morning 2 days past my normal weight in date and I was 2 lbs heavier. I'm not going to jump the gun and up my dose I'm going to stay patient. Based on a glp plotter it seems once I hit 4/5 weeks I should have a steady amount of reta in my system.
Thanx for the updates , I've been following your journey.

I think I did 0.5 day one , waited 24 hours , then did. 1.0 . The following week , 1.5, and next week 2.0. And will hold that dose for a month.

For better or worse current plan is to run with a similar dose to the clinical trials .

Everyone has the right to dose as they choose. I was just worried about side effects. This week I have noticed the suppression isn't as strong as it was the past few weeks which is confusing because as I understand it, the reta should be building up in my system. Good news is no side effects yet and I do notice a cleaner diet then in the past.

Did you weigh in same time? What did your previous day and night look like before weigh in?

I'm attempting to weigh in every Sunday morning. After using the restroom and scale in same place blah blah blah. My schedule has been insane lately with the snow we are getting so I missed a day. Honestly not worried about numbers so early. Today was the only day with any side effects .... Holy dry mouth lol. I couldn't drink enough water, other then that I am enjoying the ride.

Sorry for the few days off but we got hit with some real snow up here in NY and haven't had any time. Tonight I will be taking my 4th dose. Keeping it .5 again because I see results and feel it still. I have no need to raise the dose. Other then dry mouth for a day or two I have felt great. Besides weight loss the biggest improvement I see is my sleep. When my head hits the pillow it's all over and I barely wake throughout the night.

I struggle to sleep more than 5 hours at a stretch and haven't noticed any major changes at 3 weeks in but I'm hopeful.

I haven't noticed sleep benefits I attribute to Reta, but I am sleeping longer/better with the addition of 360mg of supplemental magnesium.

I've been chewing a 250mg magnesium citrate gummy in the morning, is that in the ballpark?

I started with tirz and my sleep definitely improved. I've now experienced the same on reta. I just wanted to mention to remember that it's not a race to lose the weight, and 5 lbs. per week is extreme (after your initial water shed). Be careful not to overdo it and remember to eat and prioritize protein, electrolytes, and hydration. Otherwise, sounds like you are doing great!

I take magnesium glycinate an ~hour before getting in bed.

Magnesium citrate is usually for constipation.

Welp, not that I don't need that* but do I need something else?

https://mcpress.mayoclinic.org/nutrition-fitness/types-of-magnesium-supplements-best-use-and-benefits-for-your-health/

It was a Costco impulse buy when I first heard I might need a supplement.

* 2 fiber pills a day + the gummy and I'm still dialing in on relief.

I take fiber daily with my first protein shake. No issues with plumbing on GLP; I actually reduced my supplemental fiber to a third after starting mag glycinate.

I started taking glycinate specifically for the (alleged) benefit to sleep, the nervous system, and cramp reduction (not a big issue but it was on the radar).

I didn't start tracking sleep until after I started taking glycinate.

My system seems to be too sensitive to fiber types of anti-constipation relief, can't find the line between all or nothing. I'll try adding glycinate to the mix instead of another fiber pill and see if that gets me in the ballpark. Thank you.

My fiber is PHGG.

Glycinate can be osmotic, but its primary uses typically don't include constipation.

Drink plenty of water and get some steps in, both help keep things flowing.

"Anti-Constipation Relief" sounds like you need Imodium 🤣
