Actually, I first heard about reta from my gym bro personal trainer. But I keep the whole GLP-1 journey to myself and my wife.

Welcome to the "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" club. 😆

I'd be interested to hear if Retatrutide is your first GLP-1 and why you chose it over Semaglutide or Tirzepatide.

I’m in healthcare too and I readily inject stupid amounts of peptides from CN into my lab rat . I think it’s about taking charge of my own body and health.

I'm also in healthcare (not patient care, mostly operational) and still feel so bizarre about what I'm doing. I'm not the kind of person who would do this, and when I first heard about it and was in compounding, I thought "Ok, well that's full on insane, and definitely not something I will be doing, god people are dumb." Then I found this forum and read it out of morbid curiosity...and found that an enormous number of the posters sounded thoughtful, reasonable, smart, and sane. Then some other stuff happened and I became a peptide hoarder, and I still sometimes look up and think "Hold up I did WHAT?"

I DID stop injecting a ridiculous number of different mystery powders all at once, though. I committed to my ma that I would lay off and agreed that there was way too much going on, and quit that. One non-GLP1 at a time.

I am 68 yrs old, a highly trained medical professional, who is getting this white powder in an unmarked glass vial that (I presume but can't be certain) comes from a certain repressive country half way around the world that is paid for in crypto (which I otherwise have no use for.)

Then I dilute it and inject it into my body hoping for the expected good effects and hoping not to be harmed.

Yet, the results are fantastic and I am in the best shape of my life!
I wanna be like you when I grow up

Started on brand name tirz 3 yrs ago. Lost 65 lbs then went on maintenance. But saw weight slowly creeping up and hard to lose the last 5-8 lbs that I want to. Heard about reta so 2 months ago started reta and cut back dose of tirz. Doing well. Not sure yet if I will stay with both or convert completely to reta.

Welcome Doc. I started on compounded Sema 18 months ago. I responded well the first two months and then poof. No appetite suppression so no weight loss, and nothing to show for it except a $500 debit every month for six months. After that debacle, I was talking to a friend of mine and mentioned I was interested in Tirzepitide, knowing she was on a GLP1. She said don't bother with that, there is something even better available now and I learned about Reta. I have degrees in computer science and mathematics and am entirely data-driven. I set out to prove to her why this was a really bad idea. Two weeks later, I went back to her and said ok, how do I get some and I got her CN vendor info.

Now I have that and I have spent way too much time on various sites researching the other peptides I think might be beneficial to a 67 year old male. I am now looking for a bigger freezer case. I settled on ~10 of them. They haven't all had the expected response, but it's been interesting research so far, and as of last month my labs have never been better. I'll never look back.

One of my best friends is a medical doctor. Would you believe he turned me on to peptides? I was on Zepbound with a 30lb goal and as soon as he realized I was losing weight fast, he called me out on it and put me on a peptide protocol starting with CJC/Ipamorelin and then wolverine + GHK-CU. Since he's not "my doctor" he suggested I let my PCP know of most of what I'm doing so he can order appropriate blood work so insurance would cover it. Most of his healthy doctor friends are on some kind of peptide regimen. He even uses the peptides I get from PRC.

Not even medical professionals can afford pharmaceutical prices apparently

Or choose not to.

Most people are unaware that the vast majority of the peptides sold by Lilly and Novo Nordisk are manufactured in China under contract by these companies. So you are not the only one who has entrusted your health to them.

I'm very curious as to what made you finally try it?

I've already decided I would never tell any of my healthcare providers about Reta and vaguely say I'm on a compounded GLP. I have the least amount of side effects and the most energy on Reta than Tirz. or Wegovy which both caused pretty severe fatigue and Gerd.

I feel the same way. I am very risk averse in all areas and still can’t believe I did this. Never felt better in my life though, so it worked for me too!

Because the tirz effect seemed to be waning, and TBH, there is a certain outlaw-ish thrill in operating in the grey market. 😉
