I usually do Sunday's before bed. Its thursday and i have zero hunger or even an inkling to want to eat. My problem is no matter how much i stay in the gym and eat right. My weights been locked. Its frankly driving me insane. Lol
Speaking from what worked for me in the past with strictly diet and exercise (no peptides involved), changing my diet for a week or two was what worked to kick a stall in loss. Not saying it would or wouldn't work for you, or that it would have the same effect while on a peptide. I'm sure there will come a point that I will have to try it out again in the not so distant future while taking ret.

Yeah at this point im throwing in the towel on enjoying "healthier" meals and going scorched earth.

It would be good to know people's GLP-1 history with posts like this. The response to Reta seems to be all over the place, unlike Tirz and plain GLP-1. I have considered switching to Tirz after I hit my weight goal, but I'm starting to fear that using it will make Reta ineffective when I switch back. For me, Reta is my very first GLP-1 drug and I am almost never hungry. My stomach hasn't "growled" in three months, and I can only eat enough to get above a deficit on the day before my next shot.

I never understood this because i took my shots before bed. Now i understand doing one in the morning. That first 12 hours as the shot gets comfy isnt exactly "kicked in". Tldr im going back to night time dosing
Maybe I’ll try that. I did my dose in the mornings and boy I was starvingggg

I was on tirz for 1 month, like 6 months ago. Reta has made me starving but I’m on week 2 of it so maybe it’s just taking time to balance out.

How much of a dose are you doing?

Im on 3mg a week split dosed. I eat all the time and am still losing weight! Totally killed my sweet tooth though.

I always recommend going 4 weeks on a dose and let it build up in your system. That's just me though and what Lilly was doing in the trials.

that there can be hunger spikes when titrating up? lol I went from 2mg to 4mg today and I have ate everything in the pantry. I'm chasing the damn cat around the house with my last two slices of bread!
I've never got over 1.5 mg a week and droppwd to .75 a few weeks ago. Never had the first issue with food noise to begin with so not an issue here- 🫡

Everyone seems to have vastly different experiences with Reta. That seems to be the only consistent thing about it.

Almost 6 months in, started at .5mg now up to 2.4mg (1.2mg twice a week) and 30 lbs lost.

We moved to twice a week about 2 months in after noticing that we didn't have to force food down the last 2-3 days of the week. 😆 Looking back I'd say that was our metabolisms beginning to normalize to the calorie deficit?

At this point there's still appetite suppression in so much as we can eat but not as much. Feeling a little hungry is natural and okay but the reta still helps to keep the noise down to acceptable levels. We all react differently, no 2 bodies are the same and reta may not be the peptide you need. Some who need more appetite suppression do better on tirzepatide, you have to figure out what works for you. Good luck to you and the cat. 😆

This is also my first foray into the world of GLP's. I started at 2mg for 4 weeks and then titrated up to 4mg the day this post was made.

Yes my appetite suppression is similar. I can eat, but I don’t crave junk. I made ribs on Memorial Day, I was craving it right until we slathered a sweet store bought bbq sauce on it. I feel like knowing the bbq sauce wasn’t healthy it completely turned me off. I used to by Chic Fil A or McDonald’s on the drive home from work to eat before getting home and having to explain to my kids why I didn’t bring them any (Don’t shame me, if you’re a parent you’ve done this too). I’ve stopped that as well. However, We did go to chic fil a as a family last night and I got the cool wrap with apple cider vinegar dressing. On Reta that tasted like an Outlaw Ribeye from Longhorn.
If you’re feeling frisky for BBQ sauce another time and want to skip the guilt Stubs has a sugar free sweet and spicy. It slaps.
