that there can be hunger spikes when titrating up? lol I went from 2mg to 4mg today and I have ate everything in the pantry. I'm chasing the damn cat around the house with my last two slices of bread!

I stopped keeping snack foods in the house way before starting Reta. When my roomate brings home dounuts or cookies and leaves them out, I jokingly tell him to stop brining drugs in the house.

It could be a combination of a few things. In general Reta doesn't suppress appetite that much so it takes more self control. Also personally I noticed that I don't get the appetite suppression until about 36 hours later when I barely have a desire to eat. However, regardless of the time relative to dosing, if I have highly palatable foods around I will always crave them so I just stopped buying them.

I find Reta to be like a roller coaster ride whereas Tirz was smooth and steady. If that makes any sense.

I was gonna switch to Reta, but I’ve found having a 50/50 split actually seems well balanced.

Light appetite suppression, and my stomach doesn’t feel backed up.

Ah, wait till you get to 6mg. The hunger pangs never go away. Some people do seem to experience appetite suppression on reta, but for me, it is the opposite. I get hungrier; my current fixation is also bread. I can eat an entire loaf in one sitting.

I never understood this because i took my shots before bed. Now i understand doing one in the morning. That first 12 hours as the shot gets comfy isnt exactly "kicked in". Tldr im going back to night time dosing

One thing I’ve noticed on Reta is that food noise almost only comes up when I’m actually hungry and is less intense when I drink more water. It’s like a healthy food noise where I am thinking about what to eat next but not starving and ordering or making food impulsively. Once I start eating though I can still eat probably 70% of what I used to (my eyes are way bigger than my stomach).

I normally eat way too fast so I try to take short breaks when eating. Much easier on Reta and usually after 10-15 minutes I start feeling much fuller. Pre-Reta I’d be pretty consistent putting food and snacks down after having some. With Reta, I’m doing really well with not coming back to them shortly after. Last time I was craving sweets I opted to have a peach instead of candy and it hit the spot. I find it pretty incredible I can still have cravings, satisfy them and have the willpower to not over indulge. It’s like switching from an old bike to a new e-bike.

Yeah I’ve kind of noticed similar. But also im doing a lot of training so it helps I can eat!

I like the idea behind this. I think I'll give this a try next week. Thanks!

Reta is strange though. I get heavy appetite suppression for the first 2 days, then I have a day where I'm just thinking about food all day, then for the next 3 days or so, I level off and feel great. I always have to remind myself on the snacky day that it passes. By the time I'm ready for my weekly shot, I can eat, but I'm very controlled.

Come to think of it, I think it is a bit more exaggerated cycle when I have titrated up. I started at 2mg, went to 3, 4, and now 5mgs. I'm losing so consistently now that I will not go up to 6 like I thought I would before.

Enhance your hunger suppression through a natural GLP promoters, I take berbrine and the probitoic Akermenisa. Akermenisa naturally boosts GLP-1 production in the gut. Berberine acts like a prebiotic it increases Akkermansia abundance in the gut. A synergistic natural stack that supports many of the same metabolic pathways as Reta. In fact for me the effect was too powerful, I would have no hunger, had to force protien drinks just to get my macros. Now I only take it on day 5-7, when Reta hunger suppression starts to weaken.

Pin day is like that. We do Friday morning shots, and that night I force myself to eat and used to get heartburn. By day 5-6 I'm as normal as I can be. That's seemed to have gone away.

Maybe I’ll try that. I did my dose in the mornings and boy I was starvingggg for days after

Also the less water and more caffeine i drink the faster i get hungry through the week.
That is a very interesting observation. I drink a LOT of coffee and 1mg has lost its potency for me this week (my first week). Curious if that is the culprit because the hunger effects are fading pretty quick for me starting yesterday.

I usually do Sunday's before bed. Its thursday and i have zero hunger or even an inkling to want to eat. My problem is no matter how much i stay in the gym and eat right. My weights been locked. Its frankly driving me insane. Lol

Yes my appetite suppression is similar. I can eat, but I don’t crave junk. I made ribs on Memorial Day, I was craving it right until we slathered a sweet store bought bbq sauce on it. I feel like knowing the bbq sauce wasn’t healthy it completely turned me off. I used to by Chic Fil A or McDonald’s on the drive home from work to eat before getting home and having to explain to my kids why I didn’t bring them any (Don’t shame me, if you’re a parent you’ve done this too). I’ve stopped that as well. However, We did go to chic fil a as a family last night and I got the cool wrap with apple cider vinegar dressing. On Reta that tasted like an Outlaw Ribeye from Longhorn.
