Tirz has the lower side effects profile, and depending on what you read it's much better at quieting food noise, so might do a better job with her evening sweet tooth? That said, I have a good friend on Tirz who has the same evening snacking issue and she's having a very hard time controlling it in spite of the Tirz.

I'm also older female and I adore Tirz, but if Reta had been available to me back at the beginning? I think I'd have enjoyed it's apparent much faster weight loss. But the RHR issue there still concerns me.
RHR and the "Reta-somnia"? My sister is on RETA, she said she's done after this vial.. going back to pure Tirzepatide. She was doing split dose and the sides are making her not happy. Welp, rest of the Reta kit for me when I finally want to try it I guess 😅😅

I'd start her with Tirz for the reasons already mentioned up thread.

A standard protocol used by a lot of the teledoc compounding services in the USA prescribing Tirz is to start the first 2 weeks @ 1mg/week. Titrate up to 2mg/week after two weeks if no adverse effects. That's plain vanilla advice for the masses being managed remotely. I'd go with that unless you have a physician watching in. If you start her on Reta, I'd start at no more than 1mg, .5mg is reasonable too. And its less likely to get physician oversight for Reta.

She may be able to adjust her cholesterol med down and if she's motivated, Tirz is a help with quitting cigarettes.
