What strange side effects have you experienced?

anhedonia .... such a bitch, i went down from 10 mg to 7,5, and my mood lifted. I was so blaaah, didn't want to do anything ! it was hell, i was on 10 mg for a month, and now going up in reta and down in tirz.

also, taste buds are different, food tastes different. So weird. AND dry eyes.

My wife belches like a got damn sailor now. She never did before Tirz. She also has existing issues with her esophagus - it doesn’t open correctly to let food go into her stomach. She had to have it stretched three years ago. Yeah that is a real thing.

Anyway that also makes her more susceptible to GERD-ish side effects. It’s not acidity coming up, but extreme nausea if she sleeps lying flat. When elevated that disappears.

My Tea party started 5 months ago now...

Constipation is something I have to be intentional to minimize

Burps are welcomed an hour or 2 after eating helping to minimize indigestion long term

Vision inconsistencies are real (also had them with diabetes) but sensitivity to sunlight is new with Tirz

Haven't taken insulin since starting Tirz and I expect, when I see the Dr. today, my A1C will be greatly reduced 🙂

An increase in dopamine is evident and lasts with the half-life

Anti-inflammatory effect is noticeable

No fatigue, in fact, I feel more energy

My impulse to gamble is definitely reduced

I spend more time reading... (here) lol and have allot of new friends (also here) 🙂

Lastly, I wear smaller sizes of clothes, am much healthier and feel much better about myself overall

Hated the anhedonia, switching to split dose has helped a lot.

My GERD got worse but seems to have evened out now after a few months.
Good to hear. The other night she was eating spicy chili rice noodles. I just cut her a look, and said that she was gonna regret this decision to eat that as dinner.

I hate being right sometimes. The chili burps were next level! 🤣

I always said I have no side effects, but I just discovered via Reddit a potential one which I thought was hayfever this whole time...

I've been getting blocked ears. It's a bit like when you get water in them. In my right ear mostly. Turns out a load of people on the UK mounjaro Reddit get the same thing so it's maybe a side effect?

I've never had it before, and it started around the time I started taking Tirz. But it was also April and peak hayfever season so I just assumed.

Today I have horrific nausea but I had surgery Monday, so I'd not pinned in 15 days. Took half my dose yesterday morning and half this afternoon and daaaaamn I should have waited a couple more days. 🤢

Curious to see your A1C changes if you are willing to share? Not an issue I deal with, but I also have annual checkup this month. Wanting to see what all my markers are showing after close to 4 months of peps and exercise.

I never felt anything (benefit or side effect) at 2.5mg, I don’t notice anything until 5. I just restarted after being off for over a year and am on 2.5 but am going to go up to 5 after 2 weeks instead of a month. I had restarted before and went straight to 5 without any issues.

One of the side effects I notice is that I’m always cold. Also, I don’t ever feel like drinking alcohol on tirz, and if I do drink I don’t feel like I get a buzz or any positive effect from it. So I just don’t.
"always cold" may well be caused by a different mechanism. I remember that when I started Weight Watchers I suddenly was freezing all the time. Our bodies are pretty smart and when our body notices that the calory intake is down it partially shuts down to conserve enery. Then when you get skinny, if you do, you are freezing all the time because you lost all the insulation. Go to a coldish place and observe the dress of the crowd. The really skinny folk will be dressed somewhat warmly while heavier people in the crowd (WW never let us use the f word ((fat)) ) will have shorts and a tshirt on. Have you ever noticed that in say October as it cools off you are suddenly more hungary? Just like the fish and wild animals, our bodies want to f.... up.

I just got the results. I went from an A1C of 14.6 to 6. I am ecstatic!!!

Oh, it didn't help me with split, only to go down in dose

I have blocked ears too sometimes- started a few weeks ago. Never realised it was the Reta- makes sense because PCP said my ears looked good!

First day on Tirz felt like being on bad stimulants. You know when you capture a wasp or something in a glass and it panicks and zips around super fast? Felt kind of like that. Couldn't focus on anything though, just frantic energy.

I went down in dose and didn't get that effect again. Curious if anyone experienced that, haven't seen any reports of it.

I would never have even begun to think it was the glp1 until I saw it on Reddit. Literally shocked. And interestingly, I took a break for surgery and haven't had it the whole time. So there's something in it, I think!

Motion sickness when riding passenger for longer than 5 minutes.

Whenever I start Tirz again my body feels like sore like a just did a full body work out. Even now my neck muscles are still sore.

Here are some side effects that I have experienced. I am only 3 months in 🙂 .

Not being able to sleep/waking up at 4 every morning.

Ringing in ears. Not as bad now

When I raise my dosage I know that I need to make sure to use Merlax.

All tolerable and I have found that I definitely need more protein. Start protocols with the Merlax. Eat right and DRINK water
