Not a peptide, but I take propranolol and it really is effective in reducing the physical symptoms of anxiety. You don't need to be on it forever, you just pop a pill when you feel anxious. I have selank on the way so it would be interesting to test as well.
It works well

Hi,

I'm currently using Selank for Anxiety treatment, but since I don't want to use it forever, I would like to switch up with another anxiety reducing peptide.

Anyone with good experience on this?

I've of course read about PE 22-28, P21, Semax but it looks like these are more for brain fog etc.

Pinealon I haven't tried yet, but it looks promissing on the stress aspect of anxiety..
I kind of think it depends on the level and type of anxiety you have. For me, I do use peptides, but without a small dose of Sertraline, I’m just not myself. I’m a better human on it and it takes the edge off my busy brain. My anxiety is like having a ticker tape running in the background 24/7..... thoughts, lists, worries, conversations, plans, all moving at once.

A lot of these compounds seem to help certain pieces of the puzzle (sleep, stress, focus...) , but not always the core issue and they’ve never fully replaced what the sertraline does for my nervous system regulation.

For me personally, the best has been combining tools instead of expecting one thing to magically fiix me. Better sleep, less alcohol, exercise, nervous system regulation, peptides, and a low-dose SSRI together work way better for me together.

got it! I'm a former pharmacy tech, so I know quite a bit about medication. it's not a peptide, but some doctors prescribe antihistamines (allergy meds like benadryl) for anxiety. some people say that if you're asleep, you're not anxious! 😆

Can confirm. Half of a benedryl slows me down enough to take the edge off of an anxiety spike but keeps me together enough to still function normally. My doctor told me to try it because I was wary about getting prescribed benzos.

I'm on Semax since Monday, so only 3 shots of .5mg so far. Can't say I'm more focused or something like that, but feel more unwind and relaxed like. It's only 3 shots, so it might be placebo, or just coincidence. Especially for the last few days we have a real summer in Ireland, which is unreal, so that might be another reason of my good mood...will see how it goes in the next few days and will update the insight on Semax...
Have you tried making a nasal spray out of the Semax? I remember reading it is more effective that way and I can testify to the effectiveness of the nasal spray myself 🙂

I haven't actually. And you right, that there's many opinions about superiority nasal sprays over injections, but some users find it on the contrary. Think it's an individual matter eventually. One factor is certain that ns works immediately, but shorter...it looks similar for me to the traditional charlie vs crack debate 😆

PE 22 28 worked wonders for me. I originally picked it up for its alleged mechanism to relieve depression.

I've been taking it for about 6 weeks and feel instant mental relief. I no longer have a pit in my stomach over things worrying, no more racing thoughts overthinking every little thing, overanalyzing, having choice paralysis etc.

To me for pe2228 it's doing everything Adamax/Semax was supposed to do, so take my advice w/grain of salt. It helped tremendously w/task initiation for me and quieting down my thoughts.
Thanks for the feedback, will have to add PE2228 to my next purchase then 🙂
