I bought 2 kits of something from a new to me vendor recently. All of their vial crimps open this way. I'm used to my main vendors vial tops just popping off, without tearing the crimp. My questions are, how do I tell which vendors have crimps like this and are most people fine with this?

Yeah that's fine. A few vendors are like that (don't know/remember which), and no issues reported.

They are made to be able to use the top as a reusable cap. The idea is to open on the opposite side of the attached tab (there is usually an arrow pointing at the place to open) then leave the cap attached.

If that is the intention, I don't see it being used that way often. It doesn't work for me anyway.

I agree, the design could be better. I am switching over to pens, so I don't really need to reuse the tops on my vials.

My R60 kits from MKM are like this. I thought perhaps the tops are designed to be easily removed to access the vials content for topical application or other.

Personally, I'm not a fan but I have learned to remove the cap by bending it back and forth until it breaks free.
