Wasted dose

I have been on Mounjaro through insurance since October 2024. I have titrated up to 15mg and stopped seeing any results or appetite control. I decided two or so months ago to change up my approach. I wanted to try dosing at a lower dose more frequently. I am in the US so I get the single use auto-pens. I've been successful injecting into a sterile vial. Up until last night. The needle went into the thicker side of the vial plug and didn't inject. I pulled the pen back to inspect and it came out of the plug and shot my precious MJ all over the counter. I've never wanted to lick a counter so bad in all of my life. It was a sad, sad day.

My current regimen has been to inject two 15mg pens into a vial and take them in 10mg doses every 4-5 days. This will ultimately lead me to be short before the prescription can be filled again. I am considering getting some tirz from another source just to have in case of this happening again. Is there anyone here who has switched back and forth between prescription MJ/Zep to tirz? It seems like a silly question... I imagine it will not be any different.

Maybe try to remove the cartridge from the pen and put it into a pen that you can dial your dose manually. Try taking apart a mounjaro pen you've already used up to see how its put together. I'm pretty sure they use the same cartridges.

Wow, that's way different than the ozempic pens. I wasn't expecting that. The ozempic pes are a whole lot more like the reusable pens that most of us have.
