My husband started reading about reta today and decided that he doesn't like me using peptides. He saw an article about how eli lilly is being sued for the serious side effects and is terrified that something bad is going to happen to me. He's a good husband and is just worried about me. Now, I have never used more than the lowest dose and I don't have any serious side effects. I also haven't tried any other peptides. I make sure I hit appropriate calorie goals, hydrate, take vitamins, creatine, and omega 3's, and exercise daily. Wondering if anyone could help me show him literature/data that can ease his worries?
I was somewhat in your shoes. My wife is an advocate for glp1 and feels that even without diabetes people should have it. It was just the other peptides, I got into. At first I was hiding it, but now since she’s been reading up on the different ones I have mentioned. She’s in the medical field and saw that they are using peptides for Huntingtons disease, and Barth’s syndrome. She came to me and was like what’s that one you mentioned with the mitochondrial function. I started yelling out names MOTS-C, SS-31 which one, which one, Epithalon!! so excited she is getting into it. She actually is “considering” Mots-C. Finding a good scientific article will peak their interest and perhaps make them open to the idea.

I have so many loved ones I want to get into “research” but it’s tough with the word research being on it.

Yes, that IS control .. HE doesn't want her to change anything .. who is that serving? Again .. we are not here just to please a man.
I think you are used to dealing with a lower echelon of men. If you want a good man he will come with standards. Standards are not controlling, nor are boundaries. The kind of man who has options and knows his worth will set boundaries and maintain standards that a woman can either respect or not respect. The latter is why plural cat adoption exists.

I had tremendous success stacking Tirz and Reta. BMI went from 39 to 21. I lost 45% of my body weight. My spouse thinks I did it all on grey Tirz. They still aren't comfortable with grey market, even though I truthfully tell them I personally 3rd party test everything. I haven't told them about Reta for just this reason. I plan to tell them either after the Phase III data comes in, or maybe later when it is approved. It was sort of they didn't ask, so I didn't tell.

I don't regret using Reta stacked with Tirz. I lost 110lbs in 11 months. No significant side effects. Blood pressure went from 142/96 to 110/65. Heart rate went from 93 to 70. I went for a check up and the doctor said everything looks great, see you in a year. Still, I don't think my spouse would be happy if they knew.
Oh, yeah, it's always better to be honest honesty is the best policy

I've been married for nearly 40 years. I got it all. The house, the kids, 2 cars in the driveway. There is ZERO reason to even consider listening to your opinion on relationships. Just another single man giving bad advice to other single men.

Only one of us is single though.

Same.

Has anyone called animal control yet for this thread? I saw a Chinese panda, but it was a blur with my vision going bad from peptides.

This leads me to believe that there is a percentage of people here who intentionally gained weight so it’s easier to autoerotic asphyxiate. Dirty birds.
had to look that one up.......says the old guy who now wonders what else he's been missing out on???????????

He's intentionally baiting the gals with the material from his stand up act. It's working.

Wait. Vision issues from glp1s? My eyes have been red 24 hours a day for months. Stopped tirz for 2 weeks and it didn't help. Thought it was tren but quit that 3 weeks ago.

I’m never single lol. Again, you are used to a different caliber of men. I’m guessing you’re with the type that wears cargo shorts and crocks or HeyDudes? Gets $20 haircuts somewhere like GreatClips. Im sure he has a great sense of humor and is an awesome dog dad though. Prove me wrong!

Try Pilocarpine drops if you think it might be from tren or test increasing your intraocular pressure.

Everyone is tossing in their two cents here . . .

As a husband who is crazy for his wife, I'd generally support something she wanted to do, whether I thought it was a stupid idea or not. I'd let her know my feelings about it, why it seems like a stupid idea, but she's a grown woman and can do what she wants.

If it were me, I'd probably want as much information about it as possible about it if she were to change my mind. To that end, if I can help consolidate some of the research about it for you, let me know. I'm happy to list the knowns, unknowns, pros, cons, etc.
That’s exactly the scenario here 🙂

ROFL .. sure you are. As for my husband, he's just as old as I am. You think I would be bothered by cargo shorts or $20 haircuts? Pfft. At our age we're just glad he has all his hair. Other men are envious of his life. Prove you wrong? I'm happy to say you are right. What's funny to me is that you think there is a problem with it.

Or did you think that someone who has been married for nearly 40 years is going to be clinging desperately to their youth?

I don't think I can easily follow this thread anymore. Mostly because I've had one of the main participants on ignore since like my second week here. I peeked once, early in the thread, and got a very strong reminder of why we don't peek once we hit ignore. So I've done the rest of the thread without looking, and that was amusing too. But I wish this thread a long and exciting twist and turn, and hope the OP works out something that's good for her and her marriage.

So are there going to be pics of hashed brown pandas dipped in chocolate now, on this site, too?!

The horror. 😉

🍿🍿🍿

Fair enough.
