Trying to post and title keeps auto filling?

I've tried 3 times to post a topic and am unable to get the title to take without auto filling extra info?

Tried to edit it out several times and it still adds the info.

It’s one of the fun little surprises embedded in the forum. They all seemingly have a back story that I’m sure Zippity could explain if he chose. My first time running into this was trying to type b e e like a bee sting, but it kept changing it to the user name of the quiet quitting mod so I just changed it to wasp sting and moved on.

The latest one I noticed a week or so ago was the other chat platform that starts with pep. There’s an explanation somewhere in a thread that explains that the head of that one bragged about the data mining capabilities, so they changed it here to warn us of that and prohibit links in an effort to safeguard. It’s not something I’d have ever known about.

But yeah, when it happens the first time, there’s a little bit of a gaslighting effect. “Wait, did I type that? Let me edit and try again. No, it shows correctly when I edit. Save, and it’s changed again.” It’s kind of part of the fun.

It would be nice if there was a thread somewhere (maybe Zippity’s blog) that had all of the banned words and a brief explanation of why they’re banned.

Lol this freaked me out the first time or two I ran across it searching the forum after learning some things on other platforms and cross-referencing this forum to validate or disprove them. While it was awkward at first, It did help get the point across to me once I figured out (with help lol) the reasoning behind it!

I just assumed (apparently mistakenly) that people would realize there was a reason why certain words/phrases/links won't post. Ultimately I'm not going to provide any such list because all it will do is create countless more circular arguments that accomplish nothing.

As I just replied to Dos-Dox, I assumed people would figure it out. And I'm confused how the Jano data leak has anything to do with the text replacement issue?

Pissed at myself for falling into the trap. I'm ADD and have trouble getting up to speed first thing when I wake. I was sure my brain was glitching and running me around in circles.

I was in a hurry, hadn't planned on logging in but ran into a couple of items I felt needed to be shared before I got back to my agenda. No time to fight the forum's invisible censor to create another topic, I was already behind.

Ah! Is that the one that is invite only, maybe password protected?

Wasn’t it heavily AI based?

I haven’t found that one yet, but i WAS wondering what all the “DATA MINING SITE. LINK PROHIBITED” thing was all about.
