I’ve gotten non-US investments in my 401k mix since early this year. Intentional at a macro level or not, our fiscal policies have been unpredictable and economies do not like unpredictable situations. (Disclaimer: I am not paid for my economic knowledge for my day job.)

Back on topic: how will this affect our domestic vendors (assuming additional happens)? Will my US-warehoused seller double their prices?

And any speculation with commercial prices? They’re already marking up at least 100x, will this be an excuse to increase further? Buyers have a lot of budget pressure, would brands give them a break? my vote is no.
Wait, do we think these peptides are coming in via legit avenues subject to inspections and tariffs? I assumed they were not.

Everything is subject to tariffs now, so everything is subject to inspection.

For the best I suppose. There are to many people to blame (beyond this forum) and they won't ever admit that they were wrong anyway.
I concur. See, we can be friends!😉 Also, our moderator has delicate sensibilities.

Not sure if it’s for the best. I think it’s a little odd that your post was deleted. Especially since I’ve seen “Angry” members post their very biased opinions from the other side of the political spectrum without rebuke. I get that there’s a political “fine line,” but I wish it were a little more consistent across the board when it comes to deleting posts. But I guess that’s the beauty of the “ignore” button. 😙

At least the mods are deleting our opinions from both sides of the spectrum. I know I’m guilty of toeing the line often.😝

I do have it set to moderate 75% bonds and 25% stock but still kinda scared since I still have 9 more months before I can cash out.
The Vanguard 2020 Target Date fund (for someone who retired about 5 years ago) has an allocation right now of 36.55% stocks.. Stocks over the long term grow much more than bonds. Since you're already heavily tilted towards bonds, my advice is to stay the course. It's extremely hard to time the markets correctly. There are some factors, like tariffs and the Schiller PPE being extremely high, that suggest the stock market may be overvalued. However, it could also be that the economy will grow a great deal due to AI. Also due to changes in how people are able to access the stock market, at home and online, a far larger group of Americans than in the past is invested in stocks. The rise of the index funds and other passive investment vehicles with low fees have made stock investing better than in the past. Since the Bush 2000 tax cuts, taxes on earnings from stocks are much less than from corporate bonds. I cannot guarantee you that markets won't go down; I'm fearful of that myself. But if you worry about what markets might do, you'll lose a tremendous opportunity for growth.

Nah, there are always ways around everything.
Inspections and seizures are WAY up despite suppliers not declaring the contents of the packages they’re sending as the bootleg meds that they are. But I like your optimism.

they raise costs for U.S. manufacturers who rely on those materials, which can ripple into higher prices and market drops.
I agree with this. But...

In my business, for years there was an unfair state sales tax on construction receipts.

The "above board" companies would pay the tax, while the majority (unlicensed or just brave) did not.

At the end of the day, as a business, you have to be competitive in order to have any business at all.

Resulting in prices for the consumer staying much the same but costing the companies who are trying to be law abiding.

What i'm getting at is, we'll still get cheap products IMO

I agree with this take. Now that people have gotten a taste of what peptides can do they will go above and beyond to get their stash. Companies are making money by the sheer volume of patrons.

Wouldn't make sense to turn away your customer base by charging that Eli Lilly MSRP.

Thanks for an answer! I can see “business as usual” until it absolutely can’t be usual.

I wasn’t headed toward the second item here 😬 although, isn’t the Oz patent in Canada expiring due to a missed filing date? If someone comes in at say half price that could be interesting to watch.

I do see your first item happening. I haven’t been here long but have seen a couple of waves of new users roll in. And I’m finding peps to be like Pringles… My small collection grows.

The Novo patent will expire early in Canada because Novo didn't pay the fee of $250 Canadian (about 185 USD) to maintain its patent there. https://www.science.org/content/blog-post/novo-nordisk-s-canadian-mistake
