If something makes people feel like they are reducing risk, and is not harming you (or themselves), there shouldn't be an issue. Your scenario implying people won't still wipe vials is just silly.

The thing is, however, is that it could be harming them — you are ignorant and wrong for assuming that something like that is entirely impossible of causing any harm.
It’s not a silly scenario, either, because it is a very real possibility. Do you have any personal medical experience?? I used to work in healthcare. I had coworkers who thought since meds were stored in a sealed, sterile cabinet, that absolved them from needing to wipe the top of the vial.
