You may find a difference between BP and grey product.

Congratulations on your success this far!
Thank you so much. An hour ago I have pinned my first dosage of 3,3 mg grey tirz. Not because I wanted to pin 3,3 but just because of constituting 20mg in 3ml BAC in place of 2ml by mistake 😉 . I can also pin 90 units in place of 60 with my pen in order to pin 5mg. But I don't want to inject too much liquid under my skin. It is also not such bad. Because I would also begin with maintenance dosage. I don't know if I can feel the difference directly. Because last 2 days I have also been pinning 0,33 mg/day cjc1295 NO DAC+IPA and today felt whole day obvious hunger noise suppression. I didn't expect to feel it so much. If it stays like that, I will stop pinning tirz.

15mg/.5ml on Sat.

4.5/.15ml on Thurs. (All tirz. BTW)

Reason?

My 31gage syringes hold .5ml.

My 30gage syringes hold 1ml.

I don't like 30 gage needles.

Doesn't it also have something to do with the fact that Lilly vials are reliably overfilled .15mL?

Have you received any of the KwikPens? I wonder how much overfill are in those. I placed an order for one today.

Are you buying pens already filled with the liquid? I would not recommend this at all. It is very unsterile and you don’t know what you are injecting with

When I started in Jan 2025, I was doing a split dose, super super low amounts each, 2 shots a week. Until just the last two months, I stuck with that same schedule while also titrating up along the way. I started stacking Reta in March, and Cagri in April, and now do Reta and Tirz every six days--alternating, so one of the two every 3 days, plus a tiny amount of Cagri with each. I find the Cagri is more helpful with the Reta since I am still new and low on that. Because I changed the schedule I upped my Tirz a hair since it's only one a week now. Trying to find the sweet spot so I am not on Cagri long term, and will likely stay with the Tirz longer term, vs the Reta, since I need the food noise silencing that comes with Tirz.

I believe Kwikpens are pharma Mounjaro. I think, at least.

Yes, I was referring to one of these bad boys. I ordered the 15mg variety, should be here tomorrow.

But thank you @Wecandothis for your concern!

I had the earlier pens a year ago with 2.5mg each.

I'm not all the way home on pens.

Wouldn't the nice overfill seice to be if I were to go with the pens?

Indeed, something tells me you've not considered all the options. Like doctors and prescriptions, pharmacies, etc.

I had some of the single use auto-injector pens too and it wasn't worth the effort to try to extract any overfill.

For you, since you're getting the vials and are on a high dose, the vials make total sense. I have a family member on a weekly dose of 2mg and I'm thinking she'll be able to use one of those 60mg KwikPens for two or three of months, especially since the pens will have preservatives unlike the single vials. I just got to figure out the number of clicks. Lilly, in an attempt to discourage splitting doses, only labeled the pens with one number, despite the fact that the pens clicks.

You and I are similar. I did the surgery 22 years ago. I pin every three days, tirz and Reta

I’m getting the KwikPen directly from Lilly, so I would hope that they are legit 😂.
The KwikPens(UK) used to have at least one whole extra dose plus a bit for needle priming. So for a 15mg pen that would have been a fifth dose (or golden dose) that would be extracted using insulin syringes as the click mechanism locks after 240+ priming clicks, a total of a little over 75mg of Mounjaro. This has now been removed in the UK and EU to comply with US regulations but of course retaining the original prices. There are plenty of click charts online but it’s pretty simple maths to work out dose per click if 60 clicks = 15mg single dose. Difference dose pens have different doses for the 60 clicks. This is how people ‘short dose’ to make larger pens last longer. I was pretty comfortable going 8-10 weeks with these using good hygiene practices, and keeping the plunger depressed until needle withdrawal. But moved to grey a little while ago.

Thanks for the info! I did a little research last night on the golden dose and the pen mechanism. So, I'm excited to see the pen today.

I'm not going to be using this for myself, but I have a family member who will be using it for small dosing for a good amount of time. I was thinking 3 months.

The normal checks apply as you would with a vial, make sure the solution is clear and not cloudy, etc. Kept in the fridge except to inject (!) and I didn’t even let it warm up as some do prior to injection, I had no sting or ISRs. I also write the date of first use on the cap with a Sharpie. As a note the NovoTwist needles do not fit the kwikpen, but most other universal fit eg. GlucoRx and CarePoint do anything that is made to ISO 11608-2.

Does anyone take Tirz twice a week? I mean, splitting the weekly dose between two days—one at the beginning and one at the end of the week?
I do a Tuesday morning/Friday night dosing. I split the Tirz 7 mg I take. I did this because I would get really bad rebound hunger starting on day 5 after the shot. I can’t really go up on the dose because the decrease in gut motility is too strong for me at that dose. I still have the hunger even though I have decreased gut motility and fullness. This is the best solution for me till I try other peps.
