Tirz

What about getting past airport security with vials with white powder in them... how you guys explain that?

I’m traveling to Italy, Switzerland, France, Germany and Amsterdam for 13 days in a couple of months. I’m going to try to take one lyopholized vial of Tirz and a 3ml ampule of McKesson sterile water, in my checked bag. I will let you know.

Why couldn't you place your reconstituted vials in a zip lock bag with your toiletries?
Another vote for your idea (and a downvote for Andy's):

Post in thread 'Should we store our peptides in the freezer in powdered form?'

From what I have read lyophilized peps (powder) will last for months stored in a room temperature, dark place with minimal loss. If you are traveling, just take what you will need out of the freezer and throw it in your bag.
Depending upon the country that you wish to travel to; it would be in your best interest to reconstitute and then take it with you. Yes your peptides will probably deteriorate but at least you will still have it with you during your trip!

Don’t believe me? Try going into Dubai or Singapore or Australia with some “white powder in a vial” and see what will...

The only problem to me then is that the vial is still unlabeled, which may be a problem if the checked bag is randomly or otherwise inspected. (So, for the sufficiently paranoid, maybe using an insulin-labeled vial in a diabetic-looking travel case would help, for either checked or carry-on.)

We just got back from a trip to France. I took a reconstituted vial of Tirz with needles for the both of us, for the month we were there. No one questioned anything. I packed it all in a travel freezer bag for insulin I found on Amazon. Had we been questioned, my partner is a type 2 diabetic and I would have shown those meds along with the Tirz. We did see a young lady traveling with her Tirz in pens and she had them stored in a round type of container. She was also unquestioned. Maybe travel with one that looks like an insulin pen, and they may not question that as much?

Clever idea. Were you able to you get one without a prescription? I see something called a Go pen, but it doesn’t seem to offer availability in the US. And an In Pen, which appears to be so $$$ they don’t list a price.

Some other points, that may not be applicable:

1) GLPs can take the restaurant fun out of a vacation (or GI symptoms can distract from a business trip)

2) To some degree, GLPs are in your system for weeks

3) For international travel, looking nervous is the worst thing possible at customs.

Instead of freezing after recon, for math lovers (or for Nimbot lovers to relabel the same vial):

What if you recon all 60mg with 1ml of bac, draw some into another vial, and every 4 weeks, add a bit of FRESH bac into the original vial , to rejuvenate the benzyl. A pain to keep track off but should keep the bacteria count low as the stopper is only pokes a few times. Maybe good for 3-4 months? But really, why not just buy another 10 or 20mg kit and keep this one for later.

when I first started I accidentally froze my first reconstituted sema vial several times. Worked fine in the feels department.
Thank you 🙏🏼 Valuable info! I am finding so many of the fearful things I learned are not so strict.

I’m a newbie… so does everyone always recon with BAC?

Hospira BAC is by far the most recommended. Lots of warnings to stay away from EBAY/Amazon off brands, Scroll down to "Vendor Connection". Injection Shop has Hospira BAC for reasonable price. Their photo doesn't look like Hospira but many others on this forum say it's the good stuff. Dilutant Solution is what you want. .09 alcohol. Not salt or sterile water. FYI, I've never shopped there but i would. TIP---Store Hospira BAC in a cool dark place. Does not need to be frozen or kept in fridge per Hospira litature....
