What you've described is how I eat, too, and it averages out to about 1200 calories a day over the course of time. And is probably closer to how we've historically taken in food, since it's only pretty recently that we've been able to guarantee a steady caloric intake at all times/on any given day.

I plan my injection cycle around having my hungrier days on the weekends since I'm generally out and about with friends more then and can enjoy eating more. Some people like to split doses to avoid peaks and valleys but I personally find this to be a better fit. I lost 45% of my bodyweight this way starting on sema and mostly with tirz.
I time mine this way too!! Friday and Saturday are my eat more days and a dinner out makes that happen soooo easily 🙂

I posted in another thread but I use a continuous glucose monitor. And before meds my blood sugar was wildly spiking and dropping. After meds it stays steady. Maybe that plays a part in why some of us respond so well? The better controlled glucose happened literally within hours of the first shot!
Before tirz I'd binge a lot on sweet stuff and would get randomly sleepy in the afternoons. I wonder if that was blood sugar related?

I wore a CGM the first 2 weeks when I started. I am 100% sure my BS kept me fat before GLP’s and after it was no more fat storage machine. It’s not just decreased appetite and slow digestion. I still have an appetite and eat. I eat less but BS levels play a huge role in fat burning or fat storing. They just don’t get talked about enough IMHO.

Christmas eve? Like exciting because you enjoy food again for a day?

I'm about 30 pounds off but I'm wondering what maintenance will look like me for me too
Excited about

Exactly the same as my RS it sounds like. Feeling so good since starting.

Would love to know why some people are super responders though
I wondered the same....Why are people super responders? I actually was wondering if I am because I've never really taken medicine at all. Maybe for a headache a few times a year. Nothing daily. Could that be the reason some are? Just a thought. Versus someone that takes daily meds of some sort. I don't know.

I noticed when I first started with Saxenda, liraglutide, that some days it was hard to eat much and the weight loss would slow, then I would eat a lot for a couple days and then drop a couple pounds. I think it turns food noise off but it also helps keep your metabolism revved up. Whatever was wrong with me metabolically was “fixed” through the Glp-1. I think just listening to your body goes a long way with this stuff..🤷‍♀️

Very true

I'm curious to know what causes a "super responder" to be so successful at lower doses like 2.5. I started losing 1.5-2lb right away, not sure if I can call myself a super responder or what.

It's not necessarily the starting weight, since the highest the starting weight, the faster/bigger losses at first. In my case, my SW was close to 190lb and I still had considerable losses. Someone at 300lb will definitely lose a lot at first (eve if it's just "water weight" or inflammation)

Maybe it's the comorbidities, like PCOS, hormonal issues or glucose/insulin issues like pre-diabetes insulin resistance, etc.

Maybe it's how strong is the appetite suppression and food aversion? In my case that's a huge factor. I'm truly not hungry and I force myself to eat 800-1000 calories a day.

I know I'm lucky that I respond so well to 2.5 mg and I'm planning on staying at this dose for as long as I can.

I have wondered the same. There must be something else going on that the peptide clears up for some and others don’t have that issue or something

I definitely had a super responder experience at 2.5 to the point i had an anxiety attack at how little i was eating the first week lol. so much of my research has folks confident that you wont see any effects until 5.0 gives the wrong impression even if it is statistically significant.

ive spent my whole life eating huge meals and then still being hungry and now i have to work to eat a banana and a cup of coffee. the tirz might work immediately but my brain is gonna take some time to adjust

Has anyone RS stayed on 2.5 tirz every 5 days for a while?

RS has suspicions they might be a super responder as currently very happy and losing 3lb a week, eating 1400 cals and feeling fine.

Research has been under going for about 7 weeks

Will tolerance eventually happen?

Reading a lot on here where other RS need higher doses and even stacking

RS is feeling very excited about all the possibilities but also wanting to follow the "if it ain't broken don't fix it" philosophy too
Everyone’s results will vary. I know some people who have lost all their weight never going over 5mg. And I know of others who have gone as high as 30 mg. I think some people titrate up too much too soon because they’re not getting results fast enough. Also, it’s normal to have fluctuations in ‘feels’. Some days you may still get hungry; it doesn’t mean the med isn’t working. We are supposed to get hungry; it’s just that we don’t always recognize true hunger signals in our modern, food everywhere society.

Also, as the newness wears off, people may feel they have a developed a tolerance rather than realizing this is their new normal. I remember how mind-blowing my first dose was with the near-immediate shut off of food noise and it was like, “is this how ‘normal’ people feel?!” Now I’m just used to it. Consider yourself lucky and think of all the $$ you’re saving being a super-responder!

Are any other super responders neurodivergent? Self diagnosed or otherwise

RS does feel hungry sometimes but is starting with small portions and finding it is plenty.
I often wondered that too. RS is responding VERY well on lower doses and doesn't feel the fatigue other people feel because RS is already fatigued with life as it is.

I feel this so much. The fatigue hasn't changed a whole lot sometimes. Maybe the day after the shot but at this point not even then. But if anything I feel more motivated I guess because I feel better about things and a better headspace.
