Thoughts on injection pens & peptide filtering?

I bought a few reusable injection pens from Ali Baba and vials for them also . I was concerned about the sterility of the vials so I bought a UV Steriliser off Amazon . Only a small one for £20 as I only sterilise a few at a time when I need them
a UV sterilizer would work for vials? Interesting

Thank you, I thought that might be the issue, but wasn't sure since most seem to be giving consumers the opportunity to pay duties when the goods arrive. Hawaii is hard, I'm in logistics, and it's costly even when shipping domestically...which I'm sure you know give the COGS on the island.
They are banning things like needles syringes etc.. all to try to thwart the grey market peptide use. Thats what I meant by censoring. The Alibaba seller told me that she could not include any pen needles, which previously had been included with pens in a bundle, so I got the pens, a case and 20 cartridges but no needles.

Yes we are remote, and yet we are halfway to California from China...

Lots of people use them for baby bottles , hairdressing equipment etc , so I figured its better than nothing as they aren’t sterilised when they arrive

I bought a UV cube almost a decade ago for bottles - my husband now uses it to sterilize his CPAP weekly. I kind of regretted purchasing it, because it was $$ at the time, but honestly its lasted longer than my entire kitchen suite.

If you want to be sure they're sterile I think the best method is to put them in a pressure cooker in autoclave pouches.

I haven't done this yet but I've watched a few tutorials and I think this might be the path I go down since I don't want to make myself or any of my family ill.

Instapots work. Uv can be problematic as it only steralizes the surfaces the light can touch. If the light doesn't reach it, it won't kill it.

The cartridges I use come sterilized.

Sterilized Cartridges – All Things Peptides

This is the type of pen I use (I have 3 of them)

Generic – V2 – All Things Peptides

You could buy all your supplies from them and I think that they ship to the UK since I was able to change my shipping address to that .. but I of course didn't follow through. I would send them a message before ordering just to make sure.
That seems really expensive for carts.

underground supply also has them at a lower cost

These are only UV "sterilized", not done through an autoclave. Whether you trust it or not is up to you. Same with ordering carts from AliExpress and thinking they're "sterilized". If the cart pack doesn't have a black mark next to sterile, it's not. 🤷‍♂️

I'm strongly considering a bird pen because it's hard to get my V1 to work one-handed. But I keep hearing whispers that auto-injectors don't work well with sterilized carts, and I am not going to screw with sterilizing my own in the instant pot where I cook garbanzo beans.
The gansulin pen is way better than the bird pen. I like the bird pen, but gansulin is so much better. More expensive, sure, but way better. I have 2 gansulins, a bird pen, a Savvio, an All-Star Pro and a sulin pen from AE. Gansulin is my favorite, followed by the All-Star Pro.

The carts I received from Ali Baba do have the black mark. The Underground supply carts say they are tested and sterile. there is a test number.

Where is your information saying otherwise coming from?

what makes it better? I've heard that, but I don't know what constitutes better.

Better in what way? Can you be specific?

The mechanics of it feel better. I push a button and it's done. Bird pen feels good too, but the button/lever is larger and might be more cumbersome to use. Some have stated that you need to hold the lever down on the bird pen until it's done. I do that anyway just to be safe, but others have stated that they've forgotten and not gotten the full dose.

A friend who does sterilizing for a hospital and sterilizes his own carts. He told me that he personally wouldn't use the carts from Underground unless they were done in an autoclave. He buys carts from AE and does them himself.

Do you find that either of them don't work very well with sterile carts? I've heard like four people say vaguely that they're not strong enough to work with sterile carts like you get from like thepeppen , but I don't know why a nonsterile cart would be easier or what the heck that's all about.

I've had maybe 1 misfire with the gansulin in maybe 40 injections across both. I say that's pretty good overall. Early on, I made the mistake of taking out the cart from the pen, rubbing it with alcohol and putting it back in the pen, which dropped the plunger down, which meant I didn't actually take my dose (the rubber stopper didn't move because the plunger wasn't right up on it). Now I know better and know to watch the stopper move to make sure it actually did what it was supposed to. I've not tried the Novopen yet, as that needs to be modded so it can accept any cart, and needs spacers. But my friend who is super into pens, loves it. I might pick up a modded version just to see how it is.

But I'll say, I'd rather use a pen, then go back to regular needles. No pulling from the vial every time, no dull needles, no guessing if the line is right at the correct unit. The downside is that you have to make the cart, which can make more waste overall (2 needles, in addition to the recon needle, and all the paper/plastic it brings). I was "scared" at first to make the carts, but now it's super easy. I bought a 3D printed pen case and just keep them in the fridge and use when needed, and store the vials in a drawer.

Please explain how the injection works. Do you push into skin first then push a button and it dispenses? is it fast or slow? Im afraid it'll be like an Epi pen

Dial the number of units desired, insert pen needle into desired location, then press the button. BAM, it's done. It goes fast. I've heard that some don't like the auto pens because they want control of how fast/slow it goes, but personally I don't care.

I want to buy a Humapen savvio

But says would have to use Lilly’s cartridges will any 3ml work or not?

Of the four pens Im using two are harder to inject, a lot more resistance..Since this is a first use for all of them, I dont know if its the pen or the cartridges that are stiff..?
