I started thinking about health and wellness probably around the age of 12 when I got into lifting weights and wanted to get stronger and more athletic. I first began noticing difficulties with weight gain when I went to college, ate dorm food every day and drank Busch Light Draft by night. I gained about 40 pounds that first eight months of freshman year. Now, mind you, I was still pretty fit, but I went from muscular skinny to muscular fluffy, going from around 175-215 @6'2". Fast forward twenty years, about the time I turned 40 I started hitting a wall for a lot of the usual reasons, hormonal and otherwise. Low free test and chronic B12 deficiency, as well as a few other factors I'm sure, and I was dragging ass, spending much of my 40s and early 50s (I'm currently in my mid 50s) trying to figure out what the hell was wrong with me (and not getting much help from my doctor or the rest of the medical community).
To make a long story short, I've spent the last several years sussing out why my quality of life hasn't been what I imagined it would be at this point. I've looked at various aspects of nutrition, mitochondrial dysfunction, systemic inflammation, insulin resistance, you name it. In the process, I've learned a lot of valuable lessons about health that I would be happy to share with anyone who might benefit. Like most people here, the search for wellness and vitality brought me to this peptide place. I appreciate everything that's been shared here over the last few weeks I've been lurking and learning, and look forward to giving back to this community however I can.
A few current stats: SW 258 10/21/25 (started on Reta), CW 236, GW would probably be in the range of 195-215, give or take. Not in a huge rush, losing 5 pounds a month for the next few months would probably get me where I want to be. I will be fine tuning throughout the process. This will entail a view more toward "living my best life" than numbers on a scale and notches on a belt.
Current stack: SS-31, Reta, Mots-C, Tesa/Ipa, and just started Klow today. This was the exact stack I envisioned for myself when I began to configure a plan to reach my peptide health goals. Everything I learned about peptides before I started them comports really well with my experience with them so far. They've lived up to much of their hype, which wasn't true for me with a lot of other supplements. Time and the wisdom gained through experience will shed further perspective on all of this, of course.
Thank you for having me.
