Been on 5mg Tirz since December '25 and looking to introduce a weekly 5mg tesa dose to preserve muscle and attack visceral fat. Trying to keep number of peps at a minimum, reduce unnecessary pinning and risk of side effects whilst sticking to the lowest effective dose.

Currently not training due to a fracture but hoping to hit the gym once I recover.

Anyone try this and how did that work out for you?

I just started mine 1 week ago exactly, my blood sugar levels have been high since starting tesa, with it being the main culprit as none of my other peptides cause insulin resistance. Havent lost a single pound last week & I'm not sure why. My carb/calorie intake is extremely low & I go to the gym. Hoping things speed up by next week

Tesamorelin has decent data for reducing visceral fat, but I wouldn’t treat it as a proven muscle-preservation aid, especially while not training. I’d stick to the basics, avoid a big deficit, keep protein high, recover, then restart lifting when cleared. Regaining lost muscle is faster than building it the first time.

When starting Tesa, whether you cycle it or not, you can have slight water retention. Mine was about 3 lbs. Yes, it does create a temporary stall. That actually means it's working lol. As soon as you cycle off within days, you should get a decent flush of the water retention. I did. On my second cycle now, not for weight loss but for the reconfiguration of my stomach from the inside out. My goal was to reduce visceral fat surrounding my organs. I can feel the Big Macs melting away from my liver 🙂

Just to clarify are you saying 5mg once a week? Or spread out over a week?

I run both Tirz and Tesa and have found that Tesa slowed my weight loss significantly once I started. I actually put on weight which is commin do to water retention. I love Tesa tho, I sleep like a champ and my strength training has improved even with a small reduction in frequencies of lifts.

Is encourage you to hold tight on starting it until you’re back in the gym to reap what I believe through my personal experience to be the full benefits.

I am probably holding off for the time being. I still have some weight to go and it would make sense to introduce tesa at a later stage.

The more I research the less likely I am to go for tesa (at least for the time being.) Mots-c might be a valid option though, starting from now and continuing once I'm back to working out.
