Does it seem like people who start on sema that switch to tirz have no luck with it to yall? I don't know of anyone who started on sema, lost weight, maxxed out, switched to tirz that has had any luck.
I started on Sema, got as high as 1.5 mg. The 1.5 mg was too high for me and my side effects were insane. I backed down to .75mg lost a little more, stalled, increased twice and wasn’t having any success. I decided to give my body a month break. I maintained my weight for that month then switched to the loading dose of Tirz. I lost nothing on the 2.5mg but stuck it out. I am now on my second week of 5mg and I’ve lost 3.2kg or 7lbs.

For me Tirz got rid of the food noise and my desire to binge eat but didn’t give me nausea and food aversion like with the Sema so it doesn’t feel as noticeable.

I lost a total of 14.9kg (33 lbs) on Sema before my switch and my starting weight was 95.55kg (210 lbs).

For anyone following - I'm rolling again on 12.5... Only 10 lbs. from goal now! Patience is definitely a virtue! 😊

I just saw this because I'm currently in the boat of....switched from 1.7mg sema to 2.5 mg tirz and i feel like i'm not losing at all, maybe even gaining. I'm scared to look at the scale again. I have one more doze next week of 2.5mg and then i will go up to 5mg which i think will be better. I hope!!! i don't want to lose my progress (was down 35lbs on sema).

Same here!! I was also worried about gaining during my transition so I progressed very quickly through the doses after switching to Tirz. I was comfortable doing so with an 8 month Sema journey under my belt and I'm so glad I decided to chance it. I didn't gain at all and now I know that maintenance will be much easier than I thought. I'm almost there! ❤️

Put the scale away for a while if you can! I didn't want any added stress during my transition and the first time I weighed myself was that much sweeter!

Thanks so much for the tips, I will try to keep away from the scale! I did peek, and thankfully didnt gain really but definitely didn't lose....so maybe I stay off it until after progressing into higher doses! 🙂

I lost a lot on Semaglutide even on low dose and more on tirzepatide with less side effects but had to push dose.

The no side effects of tirz are worth it alone for me.

heart burn of 1.7 and 2.4mg sema isn't great.

How does tirz compare to sema in terms of constipation? Maybe I'm unlucky, but with sema I've been relying on movicol/macrogol to keep things moving in the days after dosing.

Never had any problems.

I have a shake with 40g chia/500ml soy milk/50g protein isolate almost every day

or 400g of konjac pasta

What does "push dose" mean? (Google was not helpful)

I started Sema back in December, experienced minimal side effects, pushed thru, and by the time April rolled around I was maxxed out and had lost 35 pounds.

I was stalled so I did a hard switch to Tirzepatide in April and it kickstarted my weight loss again.

Absolutely no side effects. And I’ve been titrated up to the full 15mg and have lost another 25 pounds to this day.

I’m about to start my move to Reta.

Hi! I was on sema for a year and lost 35lbs. Been on tirz for about 4 months and I’ve lost another 3-5lbs. I lose very slowly. Anyways for me, I’ve not really had any side affects on either on. Maybe very very mild nausea. I had IBS so the gastric slowly has helped tremendously. I’d almost take it just for that. I am thinking to jump start things again, I might titrate down and take a month break or so and start back up. I’ve got like two weeks worth left of my 3 mth stash and I’m thinking about doing that before starting the next three month stash (which would end up stretching further if I start over). I haven’t decided just yet. If anyone has let me know.

Opposite for me! I maxed out on sema and couldn’t lose more than 40 pounds on it (which is still great but I was on it for a while) I switched to tirz and I’m down 22 pounds in about 7 weeks on the starter dose
