I can't find a definitive answer to this. I see all kings of pictures, and some really nice ones 3D printed. Do you guys/gals recommend storage cases for storing your vials in the freezer? I have 2 kits coming in Wednesday and 3 in about 2 weeks, all Reta.

Thanks
Honestly, I found some nice storage boxes from the dollar tree......worked great for me! 🙂

Cheap aromatherapy cases on Amazon 63 vials , about $15 au or $10 us. Will keep them in the dark and definitely protect them if you drop something heavy and frozen on them. Always label everything. Not fancy or pretty but do the job.
I have one of these almost full with desiccants. I should have one of the really nice Kings Things 3D printed for 50 vials tomorrow.

I've been shamed into looking at the wifi Govee's. I did accidentally leave a fridge door cracked that was being partially blocked last summer. That wasn't pretty, but saved all the frozen side. Just had warm beer for a couple days. 🤣 🤣 Just looked, outside freezer is -9F.
We just got a new upright freezer and since I tripped the circuit on the last one (13 years old) and killed that Cow 2X. I was goaded into getting one with an audible alarm, so you're not alone.

Love Kings Things! I have a few of his cases.

Thanks for the topic. After thinking about storage, I was cleaning out the bar and found this travel humidor I forgot about. It should do trick, it’s airtight and lockable.

This is what I'm using now. 288 vials, 4 72 vial inserts. I do need to use of my 63 vial cases, as this will be full. I'll have 320 when my GB's come in.

Wife goes to the Dollar Tree regularly. Care to post some pics so I can tell her what to look for?
For sure. I'm a fan of the crafts section storage boxes...I still put them in a ziplock bag in the freezer too. Also, those little craft bottles are great mini travel size pill bottles (or reusing the bac bottles of course) That tin is actually a dollar tree first aid kit, ha!

I love the tin! Are those bac water vials?

I am using freezable lunch boxes (Packit Freezable Classic Lunchbox from Walmart). I currently have everything in the original boxes in large Ziplock bags with desiccant packs inside and I put that in the lunch box in the freezer. They have built in gel ice packs and they hold quite a few kits (and bonus, they come in a really cool spaceman print 😂). I did 3d print vial holders to insert into the lunch boxes but that's a project for another day.

I use a Hydrapeak 32oz stainless steel food jar with a 3ml vial insert 2-pack + ice pack (holds 42 vials). The insert keeps everything organized and the thermos gives it an extra layer of insulation. Works great in the freezer.

For moisture control I throw in a couple Micro-Pak bentonite clay desiccant packs and keep a Govee Bluetooth hygrometer inside to monitor temp/humidity.

Total setup runs around $50-65 and everything's on Amazon.

What are you using for the cap? I love this idea for car meds storage
The existing rubber cap that is under the vial topper/foil…. usually just pulls right off. There’s a little tool you can get on Amazon as well: 3 Pack Mini Vial Openers - Versatile Stainless Steel Oral Liquid Decappers for Botox, Medicines, and Beverages - Compact and Durable Bottle Opener Tool for Nurses, Pharmacies, and Home Use https://a.co/d/0iuAeMOg

This is what I use. I put each kit in a zip lock with a desiccant pac. fits 16 kits nicely.

I like it because you can keep them in their original kit plastic box they come in 🙂

I just put the kit boxes in the freezer next to my frozen juices and soups. 😛 Some overflow fruit in there as well. I have a mini freezer in my room so I don't have to worry about other people knocking them around.

I have thought about getting a temp monitor for it just because that freezer isn't always opened regularly. The defrost cycle doesn't bother me. Lyophilized peptides are pretty sturdy.
