Hi all!

Has anyone ordered from SSA and paid with Bitcoin and received a message that the payment is cancelled for your protection? I have bought from other vendors and never received this message.

I've heard of this happening when you try to pay from somewhere like cashapp. What you need to do is buy with cashapp Then transfer your bit to your exodus wallet. Pay from exudes. It works well for me.

By the way it's normal for them to go radio silent for 3-4 days then you get a tracking number to FedEx or somewhere that is not good till 15 plus days later. You did not get scammed. They are just not great at communication.

I'd bet a bitcoin you sent your crypto from Cashapp or coinbase or another exchange.

Is this a new thing? It’s been a few months since I ordered from SSA and never had any issues

I don't think this is an SSA thing. I think they have just found their way on some list of shady characters and scammers that cashapp and others use.

Yes, I had this happen last week, you can find the thread here:

Not a stranger to bitcoin- I’ve bought from other vendors but last night, I needed to place an order with SSA. She sends me one wallet ID and I get the error message “Your account is restricted from withdrawing crypto at this time.”

I’ve never seen that before so I ask the vendor and she sends me a second wallet ID. But my account was locked until this morning. Then I get an email from Robinhood this morning saying:

“We also looked into the unusual activity on your account. Based on the results of our investigation, you fell victim to a scam.

Therefore, we're not able to restore any losses of assets that might have occurred.”

Definitely never happened when I bought from other vendors. I was working with Rose from SSA and I know many of yall have ordered from her too.

Anyone else had this happen? Not trying to fear monger or anything just trying to see if anyone else had this experience- no hate to the vendor either!

I can't even get them to take my order, so I guess I'm a step ahead.

A step ahead if they're canceling bitcoin transactions, but thanks for the "correction." I'd hate to see someone misspell something or use the wrong form of "your" or "you're." Such incredibly valuable battles.

You need to use a different wallet like Exodus. Coin base etc will cancel your payments to known addresses that are related to "illicit activity".

Yes, and I decided not to pursue it further until they can accept another form of payment 👍🏽

I just successfully ordered from them using bitcoin. If you send it from a non-custodial wallet it will go through. A non-custodial wallet is a wallet where you have the bitcoin localy. When you send bitcoin through a custodial wallet the exchange controls the transaction. Cash app, coinbase, robinhood are examples of custodial wallets (they have custody). Those companies are good places to buy bitcoin but you should send it to your own personal non-custodial wallet before spending it. There are many good non-custodial wallets. I like Muun wallet. It is simple and easy to use. It will only hold bitcoin so you will need a different wallet if you want to pay with another crypto.

Crypto wallets are often flagged by AML systems, it's actually harder to transact in crypto compared to every other payment assets because of how regulated it is (yep I'm you are not anonymous trust me)

I started using Coinbase wallet, which stores it locally. My full flow is Revolut -> Coinbase (hosted) -> Coinbase wallet (locally stored) -> vendor.

Sticking with my opinion Crypto sucks. Someone needs to create the crypto Staples easy button. Enter the price, pay by credit card, paypal or bank hit send. Just too much crap involved....

I don't disagree it's a pain in the butt.

Same thing happened to me last week. It was cash app. My sales person recommended exodus and it was super easy. Only problem was btc was on the decline while I figured things out 😉 lost 10 bucks for my education lol.

My brain doesn't comprehend crypto and "wallets". I've tried to educate myself but it's just not sticking in the ole' noodle.
