First question would be are you tracking your calories? Obviously we know if you’re eating too much you are not going to lose weight. But too sever of a deficit can also cause a stall due to your body thinking you’re starving and it won’t want to let go of your fat.

Your existing conditions could also really have an effect here. If you are not already, I’d suggest getting regular bloodwork to see what your body is telling you.

If you are doing both of these things and calories are at a reasonable level, nothing is wrong with your bloodwork, I’d say there’s no reason not to up your dose to 7mg and see how it goes from there.
Starvation mode isn't real. Your body doesn't stop burning what it needs to survive.

I read another forum with mostly newbies. 50% have been on diets and the drugs help them be successful. The entire other 50% are all sitting at their recliners, at maximum medical doses, and claim to be in starvation mode. 😉 😆

Although accurate, you do become fatigued and will naturally move less.

If you are not monitoring calories you will not lose weight as a result of BMR reduction.

It is also important to monitor nutrition and lean mass loss if in extreme calorie deficits.

I did 1200 calories a day for the 7 months to hit goal, I did not count exercise against those so my 10k steps added to the BMR benefit.

There's a balance of course. There is a sweet spot of substantial calorie deficit that actually has you moving and feeling good still then there's a tipping point where you feel so drained you do nothing and the calories expenditure drops. But the idea that there is a starvation mode your body goes in where suddenly walking talking and breathing takes up 50% of the calories it used is flat wrong.

I've been researching Reta since November.

I was 250lbs I've dropped 30lbs.

I'm just over 50 years old and have fibromyalgia and chronic fatigue.

I've followed a slow path to my weightloss but for the last three months I've been in a stall.

I was researching 4mg for quite a while as I was making slow but steady progress, then I moved to 5mg for ten weeks and then 4 weeks ago I upped to 6mg, I'm still in the stall so I want to ask more experienced people here.

Shall I just go up to 8?

I've read the official protocols and understand that they say titrate every 4 weeks but with my medical history I have been cautious.

I feel like I'm wasting money increasing in small doses and stagnating when I could just pin the larger dose.

Advice welcome please.
There are two things that greatly accelerated my fat loss. 1. Joining and using a gym. 2. Stacking Tesamorlin with my Reta protocol. I've added vitamins and supplements, changed my diet, given up fast food along with processed foods. I've tried stacking other peptides. However, the Gym and Tesamorlin had the fastest, and greatest effect for me.

Sadly joining a gym isn't something I can do with my condition.

But I agree, it's a very good way to get the weight off.

I currently use GHK-Cu and KPV and I've been sticking some wolverine for a shoulder injury but that's a temporary thing.

If you can't join a gym, try going for a 15-20 minute walk after your largest meal of the day. It will help a lot more than you think that it would.

I was contemplating moving over to tirz because I've seen so many others with inflammatory issues having good results with both weightloss and inflammation.

It's being talked about a fair amount in fibromyalgia groups.

I have had gut issues with really severe bloating since being ill and I've recently stacked kpv with my reta.

This has helped stop the bloating especially when I've just eaten.

I used to have three sizes in clothes and could change into all of them at different stages of the day.

So I'm having success there.

I have noticed recently that food noise is really growing even on jab days which is why I was thinking about moving up again.

Like i said, I'm not unhappy with losing slowly but it's stopped completely and has been for a while.

On the plus side it sort of gives me an idea of how much I'll be taking for maintenance purposes once I've hit goal weight.

Ideally I'm 31lb down and got another 36 to go.

My next pin day is Friday so I think I'll just hit the 8 and see what's what at the end of that week.

Maybe I've gone a little too slow and ended up in a maintenance phase without realising.
The mention of food noise makes me lean towards recommending that you add tirz. Appetite suppression is usually superior.

I share your conditions (among others). Sometimes it's a problem to have healthy food in the house and prepped when I need it. Protein bars have helped me in a pinch, tho I consider them frankenfoods. At least something's making it into the system. I rely on canned salmon, yogurt + frozen fruit -- stuff it's easy to grab.

Remember to be kind to yourself; you're fighting a hard battle. I'm on a bit of an upswing at the moment and it's glorious to have that little extra bit of spoons. Wishing you luck.

Alot of stalls i had i upped water intake. And lowered calorie intake. Then for a while it was obscene amounts of cardio. Recently started motsc. That broke another stall. Might try 5a1mq soon. Got like 13 to go. And 2 months to do it. Fingers crossed.

I'm not sure what you mean about survival mode being imaginary. I can eat fewer than 300 calories for two weeks without losing any weight. I become weak and unsteady on my feet. I have a feeling my brain is just blindly telling my body to "make it work." So it does. I will either hold steady or even gain up to a pound or two doing this. It's evident to me that it's shutting down certain imperceptible functions in order to survive; it's selective around where it directs energy.

Spoken by someone who's never experienced profound fatigue, I'm guessing? How often do you "sleep" a full night and wake up unrested? For how many days in a row?

No offense, it's just that his comment ("I can't go to the gym bc it takes too much out of me / makes my condition flare up") and yours -- "It's okay. Just exercise instead!" -- aren't compatible. It's not unusual advice, you're definitely not alone, but sometimes I take a moment to point out that it's an incongruent "solution" in hopes people might take in the possibility that their own experiences don't equal the universe of all experience. HTH, peace out✌️

I've pinned 8mg today.

See how it goes.

Wish me luck 😂
Hi @RoundMan - I 'm stuck after 8 weeks too....the appetite suppression is gone ....like you I'm stalled - I've lost 25 lb - looking to loose another 25-35 or so. I'm only at 4mg - but I just don't understand what happened to my appetite suppression - first few months it was fantastic - I might try a small amount of tirz - or maybe berberine first.

One note on your fatigue - I've had overwhelming fatigue last 2 years - woke up - had coffee & wanted to go right back to sleep - working was hell. I had my testosterone checked - doc said I was fine. But I wasn't. When I found peptides I tried cjc/ipam to boost gh levels - it worked a small amount - then I stopped it and went to hgh - just 1iu/day - from my first pin of 1iu of hgh - on that day- my fatigue was GONE - yes - no shit - that quick - you might want to try this - it has been a lifesaver for me - I believe I'm aghd - you might be also- I'm almost 60.

I'd go to the doc and have it confirmed but it won't make any difference - he would prescribe pharma hgh - and our health care in Canada doesn't cover it - and I can't afford 8-10k/ year on pharma hgh - on sythetic 191aa I can afford it - and I feel great ! I feel NORMAL again. I'm taking 1.5 iu / day- and don't have any side effects on that low a dose.

I know how you feel - I hope it works for you. Hgh won't give you big muscles or anything like that - it will help weight loss - but mostly set your body clock back 15 or 20 yrs.

I had the same issue. Weight stalled for 5 weeks doing 8mg a week of Reta. I moved back to Tirz and got back on track. It seemed to me that I was retaining water more with Reta than other GLPs. I lost 45 lbs on Sema before going to Reta for about 16 weeks. Only mustered about 6 lbs total on Reta loss wise. Back on Tirz for two weeks now and already down 5 more. I see a ton of unhelpful comments in many of these post. Lots of internet PHDs who know everything about everything. What I know is that everyone is different. I have see people stall weight wise regardless of calories and activity. It doenst last forever but it can happen. I honestly dont think Reta is the magic others claim it to be. I am not doubting their results but my 16 weeks on 3 different souces of Reta was disappointing at best.

I do wish you the best and dont put too much into all these comments. Keep your head down and do the best you can. Effort and your ability to try other options will get you to your destination!

exactly what you are describing is something that isn't real, you're body does not suddenly not need energy to function it's a complete myth. If you aren't seeing the scale move it's because you are holding on to water weight you're BMR is not changing in a significant manner.

You completely dropped reta and went to Tirz ? Where you using it before the reta ? and what dose did you use for the tirz right after the reta ?

I did stop completely from 8mg and moved to 5mg of Tirz. Many recommended reduction in dose prior to stopping but I was done. It wasnt doing what I needed. Moving to Tirz I noticed the food noise go away in the first hour. Even had that old sick feeling of being full without eating. I had missed that in my time on Reta. I also could tell my water retention was reduced. I am guessing that was a part of the quick 6lbs I dropped in two weeks. I have seen others with similar issues. They disappear quick because people here attack them and treat them as if they are stupid. There are good people on here but also a good share of them who just like to be ugly and pretend to know everything. Some of them are the leaders in post so just be careful and take it all for what its worth. Again, you will get there with effort and determination!

Were you on tirz before the reta - or was that your first ever use of tirz ??

5mg is alot for a starting dose

Thanks for the info - I really appreciate it !!!

Never on Tirz before. I just rolled the dice after reading what others had done after days of reading in different forums and post. Worked out great!

There is some scientific reason for why the manufacturers titrate up the way that they do. Ppl in this space push going "low and slow" w/glps to save $ more than anything + their stuff is usually untested so they are vibing.

This is a simple question but is your stuff tested? Sometimes ppl stall bc they're either underdosed and pinning nothing. Switching ur source could be beneficial.
