UPDATE: Turns out this post was completely unnecessary
Alright, I owe everyone an apology because this thread ended up being a total waste of your time — and that one’s on me. I was basing my entire opinion of my progress on how I felt and how I looked , instead of doing the obvious thing and actually stepping on the scale. The truth is, the scale and I haven’t been friends for a few years now, so I tend to avoid it about 99% of the time. I figured I’d just “know” if things were working based on appetite suppression, visual changes, or how my clothes fit.
Well… today I took my 6th injection , and something told me I should finally check the scale.
Turns out I’m down 24 pounds (11 kg) .
Yeah. I felt pretty stupid immediately after seeing that number, considering I just made a whole post questioning whether this was even working. Clearly, it is working — just not in the way I expected it to.
What’s interesting is that I still don’t really feel strong appetite suppression at all. I can eat normally, and I don’t feel dramatically different day to day. That said, my cravings are mostly gone, I’m not constantly thinking about food, and it’s been much easier to eat clean without forcing it. I guess the changes were happening quietly in the background, even if I wasn’t consciously noticing them.
So yeah — lesson learned. Sometimes progress doesn’t “feel” dramatic, but the data doesn’t lie. Thanks to everyone who took the time to reply and share their experiences. Sorry again for the unnecessary panic post
