There are 2 lab animals in this study that started about 6 weeks ago on RETA. The animals started at a small dose (.5) and titrated up every week for the first 4 weeks at slightly different paces. The male subject stayed on .5 for 2 weeks while the female went a little faster.

Male Protocol by week - .5, .5, 1.5, 2, 2, 2 mg. Starting weight 184 lbs at 5’5” and regular gym goer but likes tacos!

Female Protocol - .5, 1.5, 2, 2, 2, 2.5 mg. Her starting weight at 205 lbs at 5.4”. Working out with male since Aug 2025 but not much scale movement.

Currently male is at 175 and female at 194 after 6 weeks on RETA with the same gym routine so weight is starting to come off.

Reta notes : the vials are 20mg and we got 2 kits delivered. First vial finished this week. The most obvious change for subjects has been reduced food noise and hunger signals. The male subject stayed on the lower dose because he was getting some gastrointestinal symptoms and burping; sleep also suffered a little

Congratulations on your progress! In the reta clinical trials females had superior weight loss than men and also participants with high % of weight to lose did better. So, it’s probably those factors rather than titration that led to the 2 additional lbs lost for your female lab animal. The titrations are so close, I wouldn’t think that that really led to the incremental difference. It could also be your male animal’s love of tacos 😂.

Great job to both of you(r lab animals)!

That's a really quick titration for both. Do you have a plan to slow or maintain a certain lower/maintenance dose or titrate up to the max trial dose?

Yeah we will stay at 2 to 3 I think long(er) term. Getting in the protein and food gets hard at 2mg so I want to be careful with not forcing the food down; it’s not really a nausea feeling just the “stuffed” feeling and gastrointestinal / burps it gives. The first 3 weeks were weird because on injections night I noticed some sweats and general sleepiness for the first couple of days but things got better the past 2 weeks. On week 3 when the dose went to 1.5 there was a distinctly noticeable signal being sent that the lady was just “meh I feel fine at 2mg” so I guess everyone reacts differently. Her last 2.5 dose she mentioned the noticeable “burping” she got which hit me at week 2 .5 dose as it ramped up in the system.

The male wants to do more body recomposing and stick around 160 to 165 or so; I don’t think that will take too much longer at this pace and might just cycle it every 2 to 4 months at a lower dose. The lady wants to drop another 50 to 60 so that will be a longer journey but as long as the progression stays at 1 to 2 lbs per week she will stay at the 2.5 to 3 mg dose and go up half increments if needed.

The thought of anything at the max trial dose (12mg right?) makes me nervous. 😂

I will let the female pick what she can tolerate but my cues for her are “more doesn’t mean better results” and making sure she isn’t just shedding tons of muscle. If she starts slipping on gym time and / or noticing strength decline I will coach and intervene as much 😅

We do not support animal cruelty in this forum. Please limit your experiments to human subjects. 😉
