So I have been on a GLP-1 medication for over a year now, started with Mounjaro and my maximum dose was 7.5mg.

I recently decided to make the switch to Reta due to the other benefits it is meant to give you...

I have been on it for 6 weeks with the following doses:

Week1 - 1mg

Week2 - 1mg

Week3 - 2mg

Week4 - 2mg

Week5 - 4mg

Week6 - 14mg (I got my vials mixed up 10mg & 30mg)

And even with the recent overdose (I am now 5 days past that) I did have a heavily suppressed appetite but no nausea or any other major side effects. I'm beginning to think that I either have fake stuff (I'm 99% sure it isn't) or my body is too used to GLP-1's that I no longer feel the effects.

Has anyone else been on GLP-1's for a long period of time and having a similar experience when starting Reta?

It's confusing the hell out of me 🤔
you sure the product isn't bunk?

you have caps you put back on after you recon as well?
I do, J5 sent me some in one of my orders, but I don't use them. Just wipe them w/alcohol wipes. I just got two rolls of round labels so I can mark the vials. It's hard to tell what's what in these cases without pulling the vials up a little. That case has 4 of those bins that hold 72 each for 288 total and two others that hold 63. I'll almost fill one when all my GB show up. I'm not right. 😁

Bunk comes to mind

There are some explanations for your relative lack of response to reta. At 14mg, it clearly worked as you had significant appetite suppression.

You are already in a post weight loss state to some extent from 120 kg to 86 or 34kg so quite a lot for 7.5mg of tirz, which is actually more sensitive than average. But in that state energy expenditure will be lower and hunger higher so to get further weight loss the drug effect has to be stronger or higher dose

And 4mg of reta is still a lower dose overall than 7.5mg of tirz, not that there is any exact conversion dose formula, but I would expect less appetite suppression or weight loss from that than from 7.5 of tirz

So given you actually responded to tirz very well, and reta mostly works exactly the same except with the added glucagon agonism, you will most likely find reta works well too. But you will need to increase doses. But from 4mg to 14 is probably too big a step, and you are a bit lucky you were not puking for a week.

And label everything carefully, it so easy to make errors, all you can do is to try to idiot proof the system as much as possible, to make most errors less likely and easier to spot. ( this is not intended as a criticism, everyone needs to do this ) Most injectable drugs used in medicine have systems and protocols about administration to try to prevent these types of errors, and there is no nurse double checking the drug and dose each time when using grey peptides, so being extra careful is a good idea.

Maybe it's time to look in to this....

Orbera Gastric Balloon

A doctor inserts a soft, silicone balloon into your stomach through your mouth (endoscopically) while you’re sedated. The balloon is then filled with saline (about 500–700ml). It takes up space in your stomach, making you feel full faster and helping you eat less.

Procedure time: Usually 20–30 minutes

How long it stays: 6 months (then removed)

Average weight loss: 20–50 lbs (depending on diet/exercise)

Other balloons...

Obalon – You swallow capsules that inflate in your stomach (no endoscopy for placement)

ReShape – Dual balloon system

Spatz – Adjustable balloon

I was never on triz but i've had some mild sides on 1mg reta. I can't imagine jumping 10mg at once and not getting some kind of serious side effects. It sounds like you got some weak stuff
