Reta Hunger

I believe the example doses given by the calculator are arbitrary - those amounts are not relevant to retatrutide specifically.

1ml = 100 units

1mg = 1000mcg

So, 10 units at a dilution of 12mg/2ml:

1ml=6mg

0.1ml=0.6mg

You took 600mcg. That’s a fine test dose to see if you tolerate the drug. The next step is an earnest dose of 1mg or 1.5mg. I personally started at 2.5mg.

16 units will give you 960mcg.

25 units will give you 1.5mg.

33 units will give you ~2mg.
I’m a bit confused as well, Please pardon me.

With you dilution- 2ml into a 12mg vial, your concentration is 6mg/ml.

When you said you injected 10 units, that means you took a .6mg (or 600mcg) dose, not 150mcg.
How is it 600? I’m sorry, I’m a bit lost. To be honest, I’m not really sure at all.

A unit is equal to 0.01 milliliters. There are 100 units in a whole milliliter, as shown on the syringes you mentioned you have.

You used 2 mL or 200 units of bacteriostatic water to reconstitute your 12 milligram vial of reta powder. That means your reta is now dissolved at a concentration of 12 milligrams per 200 units.

Therefore, 100 units, half the vial, would contain half of the total drug - 6 milligrams.

That means that one tenth of that, ten units (0.1mL), would include one tenth of 6 milligrams - which is 0.6 milligrams. You can also call that 600 micrograms since there are 1000 micrograms in a milligram.

Going forward, I would advise forgetting the microgram terminology and referring to reta doses in milligrams since that is usually what effective doses are measured in.

Is there anything we can still help you understand?

Yes the example doses given are arbitrary, but the calculation of concentration on the calculator are correct. Forget about the mcg dosages and focus on understanding the concentration of the calculation it is telling you.

I recently started taking Reta, and I’m noticing a significant increase in hunger, specifically intense cravings for sweets.

This is unusual for me because I also take Adderall, which typically suppresses my appetite.

Additionally, I am on Keppra and Lamotrigine. Does anyone have advice on managing these cravings or insight into how these medications might be interacting?
I started Reta while still on Sema. I transitioned to just Reta two months ago to eliminate some of the side effects from the Sema. Since that time, I have been adjusting my dose and monitoring food noise in the Shotsy app trying to find the sweet spot with a plan for long term use. I do consume sweets more, but I attributed that to my new stance that no food is off limits thanks to the stifling of the food noise.

I will add that I am a candymaker and baker in my free time, but I seldom crave those things. The other day I wanted a chocolate milkshake, so I had a small one and could not finish it. The peptides allow me to stop when I am satisfied. That said, I do tend to eat very healthy food (always did, just too much of it) and I have never been a dessert eater. I am actually enjoying the control I have now which allows me to enjoy things I wouldn't have thought I "deserved" before. This stuff is really helping me have a much healthier relationship with food (and myself).
