I apologize if this gets a bit long...

When I was younger I use to run and race on a road bike as an amateur. Over the years I tore my MCL twice, meniscus twice in my right knee and left inner gastronomic muscle.

This meant no more running (there is no cartlidge in my right knee) and there would be mild inflammation after hiking.

Last year I was diagnosed with arthritis in my left foot. I wasn't able to walk for more than 30 minutes without a lot of discomfort.

I'm just in my mid 60's and thinking.....is that it ? I can't hike in Beautiful British Columbia, let alone walk for more than 30 minutes.

This is where Reta comes in. I started Reta for the glucagon benefits and I read in the NY Medical Journal that at the end of phase 2 trials 25% of participants with knee osteoarthritis left the clinic "pain free".

I started Reta in January @ 0.5mg and titrated up 1mg every 6th day. I have been dosing 8mg for the past 5 weeks.

After the 4th week, I started noticing the pain in my left foot is diminishing. I was pain free after 2 months. The bone spur in front of my big toe is still there, but it is not as painful as before when you press on it. Also, there is no inflammation in my right knee after hiking with moderate elevation.

Last month I started going to the gym after dinner to RUN on the treadmill. For me this is incredible. I would love to go to my orthopedic surgeon and tell him about it.

I hope this might help others with similar issues 🙂

Thank you for sharing your story. This is powerful stuff. Too bad there is such risk telling an MD about our research, especially since medical notes have started to be take by AI. Once "med seeking" gets on your record...

Congrats on your relief! Always awesome to hear the life changing benefits and successes.

That was a pretty aggressive titration schedule.. how was the side effect journey for you?

Thank you 🙂

I had spent a lot of time researching Reta before trying it. I had ginger on hand incase of nausea.

I started slow as suggested and never had ANY appetite suppression, and no side effects. My goal was to try to get 8-12mg as quickly and safely as possible.

Once I got to 4mg and still no appetite suppression I had to google it; and it is quite common.

The worse side effect I had was feeling exhausted, which only lasted 1 week.

I'm still at 8mg because everything is working out great. I finally lost those "old Man boobs".

Love handles are gone, chest has taken shape and the six pack abs are just starting to show.

I was on TRT; only 50mg / wk. I doubled that and went to the gym everyday.

I was 160lbs in my profile pic, I am 143 now. My goal.........be in the same shape as Jake Gyllenhaal in Road House.

Edit: I did have one major side effect; the loss of interest and pleasure from my morning coffee.

I haven't had a coffee in 3 months; no desire for it.

Sounds like excellent progress!

And nothing wrong with less caffeine needed, here’s to less unhealthy vices💉

I don't hide information from my doctors. I have very significant health issues and started last week's visit with "I hope you don't fire me as a customer, but I'm using Retatrutide" My endocrinologist looked at my labs and and said I was wondering how you did that. They are that much better!!!

Like many younger doctors, she's a fan of peptides. And she mentioned that Reta is likely to be approved late this year or early next year. And she will be able to prescribe it.

That's awesome. 👍 Since I have been taking reta, I think the calcium deposit in my shoulder is gone. For the first time in 5 years I can raise my arm all the way up to the ceiling. I also noticed that when I open a jar, my hands don't hurt anymore.
