Reta journey so far.🚧

Took 1st dose of 1mg on the 1st of May, 2026. I was 254lbs. Took 2nd dose of 1.5mg on the Eighth of May, 2026. After clearing the gut, weight is now 246lbs.

Admittedly, both doses were accompanied by 400 mcg of Adipotide, 330 mcg of AOD-, and 1000 mcg of BpC. I have also been taking oral supplements including fat burners, Tesofensene, urolithin A, etc.

Couple of threads worth adding this to?

Can't possibly be all fat but 8lbs in a week, that's huge!

I believe you are off to a good start 👍

Likely water weight, because that’s a bunch.
Yes, quite likely. I was also sick with the flu. And I wonder if some form of plateau-breaking effect is involved too.. For a long time I was stuck around the 115-116kg mark. Now it's 112.

Stuck at that weight for 1 week? You confuse me. Do you live in the US? First post was lbs, now kg.

No, I was stuck at the 116kg weight for a long time before starting Reta now. I live in the US and just used the modern SI unit because I couldn't be bothered to convert it right now while doing something else.

Hey Smiter,

How about you get a notebook and keep a log? Or use an app like Shotsy?

We are all tracking our journeys here. I'm not really keen on getting the blow by blow details of everyone on this forum. Best wishes it keeps going well for you.

I need to write this down eventually. I think I'm on week 7? Only thing I ever wrote down was prices lmao. And calories as of this week, before i just tracked them in my head but I wanted to see weeklies instead of dailies

It's really useful. I haven't written anything regularly for ages and the brain fog with the slothfulness makes it a chore. Now if only I could be so entitled AF to think that I can determine what another ought to write, I could get others to manifest my records onto paper...C'est la vie. I'm so lazy I use voice AI to list my thoughts into a digital doc.

How about you let brand-new and overexcited people be just a little bit irritating for awhile til they settle down and stop doing that like everybody eventually does? I had my moment in the sun to act like I was the first person to ever lose weight on a glp1 and then calm down, I don't begrudge anyone else the chance to do so.

Congratulations! The first week is often the hardest, and you’ve already taken the biggest step by committing to change and becoming a better version of yourself. A lot of the early weight loss people see is usually water weight and reduced inflammation as the body starts adjusting to healthier habits, but that doesn’t make the progress any less important. It’s proof that your body is responding positively.

I really wish more people shared their journeys and progress updates, because seeing others overcome similar struggles can inspire and motivate people who may be just starting out. That’s what communities like this should be about, supporting one another, sharing experiences, showing kindness, and lifting each other up with guidance, encouragement, and positivity.

Here’s my progress over the past 8 weeks, very similar to yours. Most of the early weight loss came from a major reduction in water retention and inflammation during the first couple of weeks, then things started to level out into a more steady and sustainable loss of around 1–2 kg per week:

151kg to 133kg (333lb's to 293lb's) many more to go!

Were you on another glp before Reta or this is your first rodeo?

I was on semaglutide in 2021 for diabetes for about 5 months. After that, this is the first.
