For GHK basic, YD Peptide sells 50-mg kit for $50, but about the same amount for shipping since no US warehouse.

And people are avoiding ISRs completely using hip (side of butt) for subq (instead of abdomen) for spicy peptides, including GHK-Cu (and KLOW) as well as MOTS-c. Tried it this morning for glutathione and seems to do the trick.
The other classic method, probably mentioned elsewhere in this thread is using a deeper subq (8mm rather than 5mm) needle to get below the more reactive parts of the dermis/fat. It worked for me (along with adding KPV), but it is annoying to have to keep two types of needles around (even with a pen).

Yeah, that does help me somewhat with glutathione, with the 1/2" (12.7 mm) insulin syringes.

Some potential issues with the hip area for subq include slower absorption due to less blood flow (which can be a good thing) and more irritation with clothing:

Feature Abdomen Hip (Subq) Blood Flow High (Rapid absorption) Lower (Slower, steady release) Serum Spikes Sharper peak levels Blunted (Potentially fewer side effects) Tissue Density Loose / Soft Denser (Depot may linger longer) Clothing Friction Minimal (Center of torso) High (Waistbands / Belts / Seams) Ease of Access High (Full visibility) Moderate (Requires reaching/twisting)

From the Dr. Seeds book, favoring conservative GHK-Cu dosing:

quoted said:
DOSAGE:

1 to 2 mg/day for 6-week intervals

Can be utilized 3 to 4 times a year

POSSIBLE SIDE EFFECTS:

A possibility of copper toxicity; monitor carefully.

The lunula of the nail turns blue (corrects over 4 to 6 weeks).

Gemini's take on the milligrams:

quoted said:
Dose Category Typical Range Observed Effects/Risks Low/Conservative 1 – 2 mg/day Generally well-tolerated; low toxicity risk Moderate/Clinical 4 – 8 mg/day Used in monitored clinical trials; requires toxicity checks High/Experimental Over 8 mg/day Increased risk of blue lunula and copper toxicity
A copper blood test is $27 at GoodLabs, plus draw fee.

Hi everyone.

I'm new here and I'm researching GHK-Cu. I'm considering using 2mg daily for an extended period.

I've seen that some people recommend supplementing with zinc along with GHK-Cu to optimize results due to the copper content. What dosage are you using? If you are using it at all.

Read somewhere that you should take 10x of GHK-Cu in zinc. I'm taking 50mg zinc tablets every other day, 2mg GHK-CU every day.

I started getting intense stinging that lasted well over 12hrs, I switched to topical and oral supplement versions, hopefully they will come up a non-stinging version at some point.

I am glad I found this, I have been having issues with isr and have went from 6mm to 8mm, moved to thigh's, more bac water, epi/lido, 3 pin stick, massage gun, lowered dosage to next to nothing. I did the 12.7mm last night and although I still felt the sting for a while afterwards, the red welt is not there and just the faintest hint of bruising. It actually might even just be a play of light. Whew. Going to try 12.7mm in hip tonight. My thighs need a break. And my abdomen is a big no no for it.

Welcome! I am fairly new as well. I take 50mg of zinc about 3x a week. Plus, very small amounts are in my daily vitamins. I have read on the Anela protocol to take 30-50mg daily, and I would do this but.... I have zinc chewables and something in them blister my mouth if I chew them daily...but here I am still trying to toughen it out and use them up, so I take them about 3x a week. After I finish up with these chewables, I will look for a different kind and take daily with my next round.

I haven’t seen the referenced rec, but I’d cautious that the maximum safe daily total (diet plus supplement) zinc intake is 40mg. Above that gi symptoms, headache and dizziness are reported. I know someone who accidentally took 50mg and in fact had these symptoms.

Oh, that is interesting, let me go research that some more, thank you for calling that out!

I take GHKcu (my little Blue Witch) regularly and sometimes, depending on the injection site on any given day I can develop a lump under the skin...I do dilute it w/extra bac water in the syringe and that does seem to help with that little lump.

I love the stuff, so no plans on stopping it...but playing around with injection sites seems to help as well.
Sorry to resurrect an old response of yours. I read another comment of yours not long ago about adding extra BAC. Can you elaborate a bit more, please?

What’s your reconstitution like for a 50mg vial, please, and then you draw BAC, change needle (?) and draw your units?
