Can anybody share their favourite bloggers / websites for high protein recipes? I am mostly pescatarian so need to get creative to get my daily requirements.

I think being pescatarian is an advantage. Seafood is great for protein. I particularly enjoy Poke with baby spinach instead of rice. I'll also sometimes sear a tuna steak with whatever seasoning I feel like and have that. Salmon is another of my favorites.itsmenotyou said:Can anybody share their favourite bloggers / websites for high protein recipes? Thanks this sounds yummy - can't get 0% fat greek yoghurt where i live but can do the rest.UnusualLLama said:My go-to is 0% fat greek yoghurt with a scoop of protein powder, mixed berries, chia seeds, chopped banana and a bit of peanut butter. Can easily get over 50g of protein (more with larger portions)

Yes it def makes it much easier than being vegetarian! I can't get unfarmed salmon where i live so i don't love eating too much salmon...CharmanderInDisguise said:I think being pescatarian is an advantage. Seafood is great for protein. Unfortunately, I don't have any favorite bloggers or websites to recommend.

Thanks. I used to love my protein shake but the thought of having a shake lately makes me feel nauseous... I really wish i was into them - would make life so much easier..anhydrous said:I don't have what you're looking for but I recommend drinking a protein shake every day. It is too easy to get 20-60g of the highest quality protein in via this method.

I could see protein shake options maybe not being the best in VN. What about hard-boiled 3ggs?itsmenotyou said:Thanks. I used to love my protein shake but the thought of having a shake lately makes me feel nauseous... I really wish i was into them - would make life so much easier..

That’s a great list of healthy goodies. I also add in ground flaxseed and pepitas. I switch between Greek yogurt and steel cut oats with protein powder to mix up my evening snack.UnusualLLama said:My go-to is 0% fat greek yoghurt with a scoop of protein powder, mixed berries, chia seeds, chopped banana and a bit of peanut butter. If you can find regular yogurt you can turn it into "Greek yogurt" by straining it through cheesecloth (or a coffee filter) over a bowl, and let it sit in the fridge for a few hours.itsmenotyou said:Thanks this sounds yummy - can't get 0% fat greek yoghurt where i live but can do the rest.
That liquid, whey, is where the bulk of the protein is.Vriende said:liquid (whey) is gone, you’re left with a more concentrated yogurt that is thicker, creamier, and higher in protein.
Yes, the liquid whey will have some protein and probiotics. You can use it in smoothies, or other things.Smiter said:That liquid, whey, is where the bulk of the protein is.

I do this but as a smoothie. I do 2 scoops of protein (50g) and also add half an avocado for good fats. Pretty delicious treat to start your day off or as a snack.UnusualLLama said:My go-to is 0% fat greek yoghurt with a scoop of protein powder, mixed berries, chia seeds, chopped banana and a bit of peanut butter. Thanks - great ideas but very hard to find wraps in vietnam.. but love the ideas!WLBLD said:Wraps are really easy. Just season your protein (fish, shrimp, tofu) for what you eat. You can prep a lot of that too & just heat it up for a quick meal. I make different sauces/dressing with the plain greek yogurt. Put some of that in there for extra protein & flavor w some lettuce of choice. You mentioned kids & this is great for them too. Quick, easy & healthy. If you can find the no/low carb wraps those are high in fiber too. Get those for yourself & reg for the kids.
