I've been doubting how much progress I've actually been making, and I finally got some good news. I got a scan done recently that showed significant progress in my workouts, diet, and "research". 5'7" 39M. These numbers have helped motivate me to keep going. My progress has slowed a little. But now, I feel like I can keep going, even though I was starting to doubt myself and question my determination. Started in January 2026, so about 4 months of progress. Started on Tirz, then combined that with Reta, both in small doses weekly. Now, I'm on just Reta at 3mg/week.

Huge thanks to this forum as well! The knowledge and atmosphere here has ensured that I didn't go on this adventure alone.

Congrats, man! That's solid progress. Keep going. What's your goal weight? There's no reason to doubt yourself because all you have to do is look at the hard proof and the evidence, which is the numbers, and it is clearly going down. Also, something else that helps you keep motivation is progress pictures because you think you look the same, but then you look at yourself a month ago or even two months ago or three months ago, and always there's a drastic difference visually. So keep going!

Thanks! Goal weight is 155-165. I've been having my wife take progress pics, but I guess I'm not seeing what I want in them? The numbers don't lie though. I'll keep my head up and keep with the routine. Honestly, I think this is starting to become a lifestyle. Which is the goal, right? I think once I get to my goal weight, eating at maintenance is going to either be extremely difficult, or really joyful... maybe both.

Nice progress. Only 4 months and 32lbs down with no muscle loss! What are you using to calculate your weight and BF %? Keep doing what you are doing. And don't get frustrated if you stall a bit, or even gain a few here or there. Just keep working hard and it will come. Congrats!

Thanks a bunch!

I got an inBody scan back in February and again earlier this week. In between those, I've been updating my Garmin scale to give me approximate updates as I keep going.

I'm focusing on protein (165g/day). I've been running short distances (1.5-4 miles) a couple times per week and strength training when I'm not doing that. Adding fiber supplements and magnesium glycinate every day has helped with the mild blockages from the GLP-1s.

The thing is at the starting, when you have a lot to lose and even when you've lost a lot, the visual difference is still there, but not as noticeable, but as you keep going down, so like, when you will eventually reach your goal of 155, then it'll look pretty insane because as you get leaner, the visual look gets more and more insane and freakier looking. Oh and definitely, eating at maintenance is gonna be insanely hard. You know what is so crazy? I'm only eating 1500 calories right now, and that's a pretty severe deficit for me. And this cut at the moment is easier than when I was eating 2500 calories daily in my maintenance phase. Because when I was in my maintenance phase, I was not using reta so id still be getting the food noise and be hungry all day lol. lts so crazy i have to force this food down my throat cause Im never hungry and I get instantly full so it feels like I'm bulking but I'm actually cutting and losing weight lol
