Process for group testing?

I tried searching the forums but didn't find the answer. I did find the recent post about "group buys" and why would shouldn't trust it.

I also read the STG101 testing and the guide for group testing if you're the leader.

I think I understand the process, but I'm not 100% sure. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

1. Purchase my products.

2. Once I receive it find others that ordered from the same vendor and batch number(s) on telegram or wherever. Join group.

3. Pay the host the fees for the test and send 1 vial from the kits.

4. Receive test results

5. That's it

Is this correct? Seems pretty straightforward.

You’ve got it right. Volunteers will donate a vial for testing and get a discount on their share of the testing cost. If you get into some TG groups, you’ll start finding vendors and the hole will get deeper

Yes, basically, but I would say #3 varies depending on the size of the group and the test lead. In some cases, a vial donation will cover your share of the testing costs. In small groups, that becomes more difficult.

Also, in many groups, the payments are sent directly to the lab by the individual group members rather than paying the test lead.

Finally, there is no guarantee that you’ll be a vial donor. Typically, leads will ask for volunteers and if sufficient numbers of volunteers, then donors are chosen by random. Some groups also use a randomly selected collector, who doesn’t necessarily have to be the lead, to donate a vial and collect the other vials and to send the vials to the lab.

Yeah, had the same happen to TG friend. The price keep going up do to member dropping out. You can usually find a product that you bought someplace. I have one guy that doesn't test, and I've found all COA, except the one I just ordered. Likely new batch he said. They do put the batch number on the vial holder.
