I agree, stick around/read and you'll learn to decipher the messages. Take a look at join dates too.
I will, and I am. I always compare posts with information I find elsewhere online. I even use ChatGPT as one of several sources. It's useful for finding information and summarizing studies. Tiktok and Instareels are a big no-no most of the time 🤣

I have a calm lifestyle; not into that kind of drama.
I'm lucky I guess, so is my wife as we haven't had any of that. Just light lack of pooping at first. Not sure that was that Reta, or eating clean and much smaller portions. That's long gone.

I applaud you for titrating up gently.

Plenty of people here do that.

I describe people who jump in at 2mg as adventurous.

It might work for them but we are all different.

I never go up more than .5mg at a time as I am medically sensitive too.

I have 0 side effects, yes, i poo less, but i eat less as well. And i drink between 1.5-2l of water a day. Started at 0.5mg first week, second week 1mg, now saturday is third week, not too sure if i'm staying at 1 or upping to 1.5mg because i do still have cravings i'm just full faster, made me lose almost 3kg in 2 weeks now.

Another update : 90.5kg. - That means I've moved from Class I obesity (BMI ≥ 30) to overweight (BMI 25.0–29.9). It's 29.9 on the dot according to ChatGPT's calculations.

However, it looks like I can eat normally again. The food noise and sweet/salty cravings are less intense than they used to be, but they're still definitely there. I just feel like I have more control over them now, if that makes sense.

I'm doing my best to keep my food intake limited and as protein-packed as possible.

I drink at least 1.5 L of water a day.

Another update: 88.6 kg. The weight keeps dropping at a good rate. I don't feel bad, still 0 side effects. I'm at the end of week 4 (2mg) now and about to pin 2 mg later today.

I went on my first run last night with start to run (similar to couch 2 5k) and i finished the first training. However i ran slowly (tried to keep zone 2 but that didn't work) at 6.4km/h.

But i wasn't completely wiped either so progress ig.

Update : Weight hasn't moved for a week. I pinned the same amount (2mg) as the week before but might go up this week.

I was sick today, not sure what caused it but my stomach was upset and i didn't sleep because of it. I went to see my doctor and told her about the reta. She didn't judge AT ALL and just told me to look out for my galbladder, as the symptoms pointed towards that and it's apparently a known side effect for GLP1's. She did ask where i got it from because she knew it's not distributed in Belgium yet 🤣 .

Another update :

My weight was 88.2 kg this morning, which is still within the range it's been for the past week and a half.

I titrated up to 2.5 mg yesterday. I do feel a little more fatigued than before, but I'm still eating plenty of protein and drinking lots of water.

I also completed my third run yesterday without any issues, and I feel like I'm making good progress there as well.

I'm also looking into going back to the gym.

Here we go : i'm around 84.5kg now. So weight dropped fast again after titrating up.

Thinking back it could have been because of the heat wave my body held up more water weight.

I also kind of crashed yesterday. I haven't been eating much, because well, 2.5 mg seems to completely kill my hunger. I didn't even THINK of food. I just survived on coffee, water and a steak or chicken for dinner. Needless to say my body was not happy.

I felt like i was drunk, couldn't walk straight and felt very light headed.

I had some cola to get some quick sugars but it didn't help much, took some elektrolytes and it was a little bit better after lunch but i was scared for the drive home..

Today is a bit better i ate a little bit more last night for dinner, had some fruit and an egg on top of the steak. I'm going to have to start tracking what i eat if i want to get back in shape in the gym. 🤣

If anyone has tips on quick meal preps to take to work please throw them my way, nothing with any cottage cheese or anything 🤢 Thanks!

Two week later : 82-83 kg, seems to depend on the day.

However i am taking creatine, i'm keeping up with 2 runs/ week and i'm consistently going to the gym.

People around me seem to notice more than i do. I've lost 13kg in a matter of 11 weeks now i think. And i'm far from happy. I feel like i still look the same but i do feel lighter, my runs are getting easier and my face feels 'harder' to the touch, if that makes any sense?
