My peptides are Research Only viles. Do airport TSA agents, cops, etc have a problem if they see vials full of peptide but no Rx Script? Ty. Any other suggestions when travelling?

I can't tell whether they want to see the Rx because no one ever asked. and I traveled to Europe several times in last few months (plus some travel around Europe).. no one even "notices" that stuff. Tho, I only traveled w/ name brand and compound, and had Rx's to show in case asked.. no one ever asked... so dunno, there's a level of risk but seems fairly low

If it’s carry-on, they might confiscate it in the worst case scenario I guess. Probably depends on the mood of the officer.
If it’s checked in, I doubt it would have any consequences - you can legally buy and store them at home, no specific rules are barring you from bringing them in a plane (as far as I know)

i would be worried about 3rd world countries and Alabama. Alabama arrested some girls for having some CBD oil.

Fun story: the "closest call" was when my CGM got flagged in London..... that "TSA" guy was gonna do a manual check with the wand and all and I just pointed and said "oh that's my CGM..." and that stopped him in his tracks.. just waved me off and let me through... they really do not seem to care about diabetes meds/devices at all.. and I am sure I am not the first one with that stuff.. (they also see a ton of folks with insulin..)
I think it depends on the country and the officer. I went to Italy recently and got the idea that they take security extremely seriously and were looking very closely at everything going in and out. By far out of the 5 nearby countries we visited Italy was much more suspicious. Any official checkpoint was pretty strict and I got pulled from line leaving the country and made to take off shoes and everything but a cavity or strip search was done of my person, shoes, bag, and carryon. Swabbed my hands, shoes, everything for drugs. I guess it was random or I looked suspicious.
I didn't have any peptides but I guarantee those guys would have pulled me into a room if I had anything like that and had me explain. Point is I'm sure if I had scripts it would work out but I very likely would have missed my flight. Just because it's legal doesn't mean they can't screw you and all your plans over. I doubt I would travel with anything unless I really needed it.

I decided not to bring the unmarked vials the peps came in on a recent trip, instead I put what I needed in cartridges and brought a couple of pens.

Whether you are diabetic or not, Technically....GLP1'S are insulin related . So, if TSA asked "What is this?" One could say "Diabetic solution." Crazy, but I want to research this further.Jailbreak7 said:
People tend to overlook the fact that they also need to know what you're traveling with in order to ask questions about it. I just put stuff I don’t want them to ask questions about in my checked in luggage. On the abysmal chance that they actually go through that, the probably don’t care about your user dose of whatever
TSA doesn’t care to see any prescription. Unless you keep it in vials larger than 100ml, TSA won’t care. If, for whatever reason, they do care, tell them it’s medication. You do not need to disclose the type of medication; however, simply stating that it’s diabetic medication is fine.

I was stopped leaving Taiwan and internally in Thailand, because the scanner picked up the ice pack. I showed them and was waved through.
I've got 6 3ml pen carts in there with the ice pack. I keep the pens in a separate case with all the pins.

Smart idea with the labels. Have you been to Japan yet? I’ve heard they can be a bit picky on medication.
I think they wont care if its a few vials. But the vials don't ship to my country in the Caribbean. I have to have them shipped to a friend in the US and then travel with them to my country. Never did more than one kit at a time.
I wonder what would they say if I travel on a plane with 3 kits of 10 or something? I wamt to stock up a bit and travelling to the US often is expensive for me and probably suspicious to immigration.
Anyone has any input on that?

I put this on another thread once regarding airports. I traveled in Europe a few months ago and the Italian airport people singled me out to search every tiny thing about my baggage and person. Probably random since I don't carry peptides with me. They would have absolutely kept me longer an made me miss my flight if I had weird stuff on me like syringes. They almost made me miss my flight in this circumstance. In the USA they just try to get you through but some other countries seem to have higher security standards.
I just kinda feel like it would be taking a chance on whether that specific security person feels like being an asshole or not. If they feel like being an asshole you are gonna have a bad time. Same thing with police and peptides. And it depends what color you are, how you dress, and how you act.

Japan is my last stop so not yet.
I don't carry syringes outside the US. Cartridges go into the cold container, pens go in another bag. My pins are spread into a few different spots but they very unlikely to draw any attention.

I ended up buying a pen because I thought it would be easier to travel with. We'll see how it goes. My first few international trips will be to Micronesia so I can't imagine having any issues there.
I traveled to Ireland this summer, from Canada and was really nervous about this. I purchased a "diabetic travel kit" and kept everything in that. My bag got "checked" both ways but since they always see these diabetic travel cases they didn't even question it. They were more interested in my candles lol
