I've been running reta since June, currently at 10mg a week.

I have gained around 12 kg in that time, weight still going up almost 1kg a week.

Ouch. Perhaps reta isn’t for you. Get up to that top dose and see what it does, and if not maybe jump ship. I gained some weight switching, but not that much and it leveled off in like 2 months before heading downward.

Switched from 15mg Tirz ( after long plateau) to Reta 3 weeks ago. Net weight GAIN of 1lb from starting weight after three weeks on Reta. Moving up to 4mg this week.

I was on a high dose of Tirz as well.... higher than you. I was able to titrate pretty quickly on Reta to 12mg a week. I suspect because of the Tirz. Reta works well.... pounds seem to be melting off. with a slight rebound this week.

I say I titrated up quickly, but I am not recommending anything to you. Just a piece of info for the data bank.

Thank you @brentm it helps. I’m really trying to stay hopeful for Reta, so it encourages me to hear it took the high doses ( close to 12) for things to get moving. I hope that will be me soon.

For what it’s worth, I’m sad that Reta hasn’t so far worked because I was hoping I could go low and slow and have a long term low dose steady solution with Reta. Stayed the same this week. I can’t seem to break this dang plateau! Heading up to 6mg on Friday.

I had wondered if the 5mg creatine I was taking was messing with it. So I stopped. I also take an insulin sensitiser called inositol. It was recommended to me by my endochronologist and helps me regulate my hormones. The only thing that’s ever worked. No one can give me an answer ( obviously) as to whether it could be working against me. I don’t mean the forum I mean doctors, professional researchers and pharmacists. Stopping that this week to see what happens!!
