I noticed they have Tirz in pill form. Anyone have info on this? is it effective? Has anyone given it to their rats yet?
Oral tirz is a scam. Stomach acid destroys peptides. NN has an oral formulation of semaglutide but it requires a special formulation and very high dose to make it through the stomach intact

They have tirz pills... but do you know who isn't offering tirz pills?

Eli Lilly

There's a good reason why, and it's not because none of their scientists thought of it.

I feel it would be such a silly thing to even try. Tirz is once a week and works incredibly well.

I totally agree. But I have a needlephobic friend that i'm thinking about. Orfor is only a GLP-1 while Tirz is dual with GIP was my thinking. But so far, the consensus is that a Tirz in pill form won't work.

If your friend is brave enough there is always being a test subject for bioglutide.

I thought this might be useful for discussion. Although since these are different studies with varying timelines its not exactly as it looks. The depth should be % weight lost of the time specified above each section. This I took from a sub reddit, posted by a mod who I believe is associated with Pharma.

Well they could always try and make a GLP1 suppository. ROFL.

I estimated where each of the leaders weight loss percentage would have gotten to, if extended to 48 wks like the reta study, and drew lines across for comparison. The only ones that come close to Reta are the Cagri-sema and the Mazdutide..

Where's Tirz? 🤔

I asked that too, she said these are the latest compounds in studies, since Tirze and sema already have been approved, they weren't included.

Thanks. It seems like the best bet for next generation weight loss drugs really got now is Reta. For FDA approved stuff, tirzepatide is the clear winner for most folks. I have had to stop because I’m having liver problems. While the doctor thinks reta is probably not the cause, I have to stay off reta until my liver results come back to normal.

I'm sorry to hear about that, and I'm thinking we should all get tested regularly. I havent in a year.

Maz is in the wrong spot, it's a GLP-1 + GCG Dual RA like Survo.

No thanks to a pill form of anything. I have to think about my tirz once a week for about five minutes, and then I get to just go about my business. If I could stick my thyroid medicine, my vitamins, and all my other meds into a syringe, do it once a week, and spend the whole rest of the week never trying to remember to go swallow a pill, I'd be thrilled.
Direct opposite here. I can easily forget to take a shot once a week and I often find myself doing exactly that. I pin sema on Saturday night, tirz on Sunday. The number of times I've been halfway to sleep and had to jump up to take my shot is pretty high. Sometimes I forget entirely and take it the next day when I remember.

On the flip side, I take my pills every day. They're a habit; I don't easily forget them. Most of my pill case is supplements I choose to take (collagen, iron, vitamins, fiber, etc) and the rest is allergy meds, so I'm pretty motivated to remember them.

I'd never choose an injectable weekly drug over a daily tablet for maintenance. Injectables are a no-brainer right now for active weight loss since they're so much stronger, but I'm looking forward to one day not needing them and letting my subcutaneous fat take a break.

Do any of the knowledgeable folks here think it would be fine to use this at the same time as Tesofensine?

I feel basically the same as you but not as strongly. I don't mind injecting myself much. I know that syringe works better. However if I could get an equally efficacious pill, yes, I'd do that. I already divide my dose by injecting myself every day. I already have a pill case that I use to make sure that I take my pills every day. Before using GLP-1 drugs, I had never injected myself with a syringe.

Totally different mechanism of action so shouldn't be any issues. I'd research drug interactions though. Also, teso has its own issues.....
