My body is responding just not for appetite suppression. Going to give it more time since I’m at a low dose still and if not try tirz.
yeah I feel that definitely just wondering when that appetite suppression will hit. It seemed like after 4 weeks most patients had some sort of appetite suppression.
I think if you are going to start a GLP drug then you need to give it a proper go, it is a long term proposition assuming you have significant obesity, and working out if the current best drug works is worthwhile but it is going to take till you get to 8mg or more before you really know. And because you started at lower than the standard 2mg you have not really been on it for 4 weeks, more like 2 weeks. Swapping drugs after a few weeks at inadequate doses is not the right approach.
Not sure if you have lost any weight or not, if you are losing weight, then there really is no problem.
Given the total lack of effects or side effects, you are less likely than average to get side effects from dose increases, you usually get some kind of mild version that gets worse with increased doses rather than none, then bang awful effects. But side effects are a bit unpredictable, the only risk of increasing doses is of suddenly worse side effects.
But increasing to 3mg for a couple of weeks then 4mg is unlikely to be a problem , if you still have no effects, once you do start getting hunger suppression or side effects, then you need to stop increasing doses more often than every 4 weeks.
The other option with even lower risks of side effects is dosing twice a week, say 2mg plus 1mg if zero issues then 2mg plus 2mg the next week. Unless you are really insensitive to GLP's most likely you will see some effects by 4mg, but I would strongly advise not swapping to tirz unless you get to 8mg at least and preferably 12mg. If those doses of reta are not reducing hunger or causing weight loss, then your reta is no good, or you are the unlucky 5% that do not lose much weight on them, but if that is the case then there is no reason to believe that tirz would be any better. They are not exactly the same but they really are very similar in the way they work and their effects. And despite people saying reta causes less hunger suppression, it suppresses hunger, you cannot lose 29% of your body weight in a year and eat the same amount of food.
