Hello, I’m currently on week 6 of Reta 2 mg, hunger suppression and weight loss (fat loss) all going well but my problem is that it’s very hard to remember about drinking water and when I do I literally drink half a cup of water forcing myself to finish it and then I get full for 3-5 without thinking or wanting to drink another glass of water.

I’m noticing that I’m starting to feel the side effects of being dehydrated since my pee is very orange and I get headaches most of the time I stand up. Did anyone experience the same problem? And if so how did you manage to fix it and up your daily water intake

Does it help to flavor the water? Like coffee/teas or mixing your water with a little bit of fruit juice?

Perhaps set yourself effective reminders- alarms, calendar schedule, post-it notes?

Like dragon said, use reminder apps, or alarms, but I personally found the having a dedicated water bottle, that I bought specifically for this purpose, helped bring importance and attention to it. I aim for drinking two bottles per day, so if it’s still mostly full by noon, it’s a kick in the butt to get drinking! Whatever works for you though.

My hydration has varied from good to ok. In the earlier days I’d move 8 bottles of water to the front fridge for my daily allotment. That doesn’t happen anymore.

I work outside, the biggest/most recent change in the last month or so is trying to say yes to a bottle of water when someone asks if anyone wants something to drink (we all have headsets).

I’ll weigh myself at night/the evening and if my weight is lower than the start of the day I’ll drink a bottle or two of water and probably eat something. Yesterday I was half a pound lighter, ate 8 pieces of bacon and a liter of water. Woke up this morning even lighter, but I knew it wasn’t fluid missing from the day before.

I was pounding the water. In fact, to hard. My sodium levels came back low after two blood work ups. I was drinking so much water, I was washing sodium and a few others into the toilet. I was getting up 5-6 times a night to pee.

Tirz absolutely KILLS my thirst drive. I track my hydration with a string of pace beads on my water tumbler.

I also flavor my water.

This is an issue for me too, so I schedule my water. I cannot drink while I eat anymore, I just get too full and bloated, so I had to set alarms to remind me to drink. My first action of the day (after taking my puppy out to potty) is to drink a glass of water. My last action of the day is to drink a glass of water.

I use a large bottle and sip through the day x2 or x3. Add a flavored pack of liquid iv and maintain your macros including carbs

I go through 64 oz a day, at least. The thirst response is related to hunger and they are both suppressed by GLPs. You have to drink water and get it in. It's really non-negotiable. With symptoms like dark urine or lightheadedness showing up, your kidneys are already under stress and you're showing signs of dehydration. Chronic dehydration can lead to kidney stones or worse, and passing out. I got a giant mug from WM and keep it going. I just add a piece of lemon to it for flavor.
