I have no affiliation with this business. But this video showed me a very serious problem I didn't even know could exist.

TLDW; Video demonstrates that some knock-off pens are inaccurate, and how to test them.

So I tested mine. Looking for 10 units of GHK-Cu. Got 3.5. Ratcheted up another 10 units. This time I got 4 more, for a total of 7.5 in a .5ml Diabetic Syringe. In what should have been 20 units!

This was a friggin' $62 pen from Amazon. Needless to say it's headed back on Monday.

So now I've got 2 concerns:

A. Just yesterday I bought 4 more pens from a different source recommended here (PepPens), will they be any better?

2. I thought I didn't feel the sting from my first few doses of GHK-Cu, now it likely seems I was just getting a 1/3 dose each time? EDIT: dammit, I can already feel the sting coming on...

PeptideCritic has a lot of practical videos worth viewing. I bought two of the V4 pens from the PC website after his video review and they are my go to pens.

I had a similar issue with my V2, tested it and it was just inconsistent... Exactly like this test.

I went gensupen instead.

Thanks for the post! Just tested my convipens using the same method and it looks like they're pretty accurate. I'm curious how your testing with the new pens you ordered goes.

Nothing beats the standard ludite device - .25 cent syringe.

While I agree and had that same opinion when I was only doing a shot weekly, having to do that every single day for some 'tides (for example GKH-Cu), the pep pen makes a lot of sense. I'd be surprised if you could take out the supplies, load up a syringe, give yourself a shot, and put everything away in <3min.

With a pen, it's literally 15 seconds.

Additionally, the pen makes filtering so much easier, too. Just one extra step while loading the cartridge.

Thank you so much for sharing this with us.

I so wanted to like pens and was ready to pull trigger on a few but after doing some research, there is absolutely no way anyone can guarantee that you are getting the desired dose.

These pens have mechanical - parts that will absolutely degrade become un-calibrated.

Lots of folks , specially here, are going through a lot trouble to make sure their peps are :

Fully tested

Properly filtered

Properly stored

But then not knowing if their dose is 100% correct, this was a hard no for me.

I know this might not be a popular take but for me, the risk is just not worth.

Where did you source your gensupen?

That’s a fair assessment from my perspective as someone using pens for BPC and TB-500. Based on my experience with convipens and testing nearly an entire 3ml cartridge out of concern for dosage accuracy, I can say they proved to be reliable.

I think most issues stem from V pens (V1, V2's) sourced from Aliexpress or certain vendors, and I’m tempted to pick up a couple just to test them myself.

Pens made for/by pharmaceutical companies tend to be more accurate. Most of those recommend replacement after 3 years of continuous use.

Testing them a few times a year is basic maintenance of owning any precision instrument.

I'm of the opinion that those manufactured in Europe are better quality than those made in China. I may be wrong. The Gensupen2 and Convi are 2 that meet that criteria.

Edit: looking for a good deal on a Convi, holler if you see one. 😆

Just test my new Peptide Critic v4 pen I just got (they are out of stock now). I used BAC in a new vial. Put a syringe in the top, cranked it to 50 units, and it loaded 50 units in the syringe. Glad I got these, and will order more when they come back in stock.

Thanks, I've seen that and was hoping to get it for $10 or $15 less if possible.

I may be dreaming. 😆

Daro sells Convis for $45. I looked a day or two ago and, surprisingly, there were still some on the site from the last drop. The website is currently down until 3/20; you can browse but you can’t buy until it’s back.
