Guys, honestly, while on Reta I finally feel like I am a normal person, with a normal appetite, and I don't think of food 24/7 and feel like I am always gaining weight from unnecessary binges. Reta really is saving my life.

Currently on 4mg, I went up to 5mg, but then I say even drinking water was difficult and I wasn't consuming enough food, so I dropped my mg back to 4 and it looks to be a sweet spot for me atm.

This is the gift of these medications for people who have obesity, not just the pounds lost but the sense of a normal relationship with food, for once. Going through each day NOT thinking about food has been a revelation. (Except now I kinda have to think, "Have I eaten enough food today?" Weird in its own way.) I feel FREE for the first time.

It has the same effect on me. I certainly wasn't obese, but I often overindulged, which was harmful to my body. Now, thanks to retatrutide, I can maintain self-control, and I've lost interest in the foods I like most, but if I want, I can eat whatever I want.

Yeah that's a pure grace of Glp stuff. I can eat everyday the same, tasteless crap, and do not care at all. Now food is a tool, not a kind of entertainment or a source of pleasure. Even while being on keto, I was still craving carbohydrates and especially sweet stuff. My sweet tooth is gone now, which I can't be happy of enough. Life is much easier to handle, when you are not a slave of the food industry...

Exactly what i feel! I never been obese because always restraint myself... but i always been hungry. I always had to eat every 3-4h hour. I felt weird at every job I had because i needed to to take breaks to eat all the time. If you wake up a 6h am and eat every 3-4 hour its 5-6 meals a day. And then you have people who "forget" to eat all day and complaint about "not being able to gain weight" 🙄. It's a long time frustration and now that i am on reta. It's like a super power.

I'm a waiter in a restaurant. I eat at16h before my job and then eat at 21-22h after my shift. Pretty life changing not feeling miserable all the time.

Yes, these glp-1 medications are amazing! I often have those same exact thoughts and think that this is what a "normal person" must feel like when it comes to food. From the very first day, my relationship with food was changed. Good luck on your journey!

I've had the same thoughts over the past few months I've been on Reta. I finally feel like I have a normal relationship with food. Went out with friends last night and there was a huge plate of Onion Rings and mozzarella sticks to share for the table. I had one of each and couldn't stand looking at the rest. Was a great feeling actually.

Oh wow. Yeah, I just thought about that now. Huh! Goes to show..having a 160+ IQ doesn't mean squat..the simplest of ideas can bodyslam your noggin. "Normal people"!! I never considered that. probably because I have always thought of myself as normal in most scenarios. But now that you mention it, I have all the things folks here mentioned. I dont feel hungry. But more significantly, I now realize that the Uber-Gluttony I had before, WAS NOT NORMAL. Cheers, guys. Keep Retatruding, and if the Gods don't love you as much, keep Tirzepatizing.

It really is so amazing! I love not being hungry all the time, and when I am hungry, being able to feel full on a small portion of healthy food. I always used to worry about food if I was going out or doing stuff anywhere near a meal time I'd have to obsess about where I would be eating or pack snacks or something. Now, I just know I can eat later and if I get a little hungry that will be fine. Crazy.

At what mg do you feel like the sweet tooth went away? Just on week two of 1mg and still get the cravings. Takes a lot less to fulfill them which is a positive but still get them

Tbh instantly after the first dose. But on the other hand I was trying not to eat any sweets for a long time before I started Reta. Now I'm on the 3mg dose, and my only guilty pleasure is a small bag of popcorn (30mg) couple times a week.

I agree with so many of these statements. For me, Reta helped rewire my brain into realizing I don't have to clean my plate, that once I feel full, I can walk away. No late night binge eating anymore. I have always eaten what I wanted on Reta, I just don't eat as much. 4 tacos has turned into 1 taco. I can go to a birthday party and be okay skipping the cake. I've had a bottle of Vodka that I've not touched in 6 months. I still like my glass of wine to unwind at night and that's okay too. I feel better in my skin and even around other people now. I actually wore a non-black tshirt the other day for the first time in years and bought a cute floral dress that would have been an absolute NO a year ago. So, thank you Reta for giving me my life back!

100%

I feel all of these comments! As Smitter pointed out, the gods do not love me as much because I didn't tolerate Reta well. I am still very thankful for the Tirz. To go out with friends and not be the one who can only think about the chips and dip for the table then proceed to snarf them all.......freedom

Interesting take. Never really thought about it that way but makes sense. Never been especially overweight (at 6'1" and can hold a decent amount of weight) but always ate huge meals. Thought it was weird that we'd order food and I finished mine plus some and others would have a bunch of leftovers. Been on reta about a month and realize I'm eating "normal" sized meals. We got Chinese for dinner last night and normally it would all be gone, but I have at least 2-3 more meals worth of leftovers.
